Abstract

L'invention concerne des procédés ainsi que des compositions destinées à lutter contre un large spectre de maladies infectieuses dans des opérations d'aquaculture, y compris le traitement d'animaux aquatiques infectés par des germes pathogènes associés aux maladies infectieuses. L'invention concerne également des procédés et des compositions destinées à réduire le nombre de gènes pathogènes dans les mileux d'aquaculture, et à désinfecter les surfaces en contact avec ceux-ci. On traite les animaux aquatiques infectés par un germe pathogène en les mettant en contact avec une dose thérapeutiquement efficace de dioxyde de chlore. Ledit traitement peut être mis en oeuvre par immersion de l'animal aquatique pendant une durée suffisante, dans un milieu aquatique contenant une dose appropriée de dioxyde de chlore.
