Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a coupling device for interconnecting two apparatuses, for example two sight units in an optical system, the coupling device including at least three anchorage points for interconnection of the two apparatuses.
  • One example of an optical system which places the above-mentioned demands is a daylight sight which should rapidly be capable of being supplemented so as to be operative in darkness by the application of an IR sight portion.
  • These two sights should be capable of being interconnected by means of a couple of manual manoeuvres such that:
  • the angular guiding of the apparatuses is affected with superior accuracy, for example better than 0.1 mrad (repetition accuracy);
