Die Aushärttemperaturen liegen unter 550°C. Kupfer
hat z.B. eine Hitzebeständigkeit von über 1000°C, die bei der Rußvergasung oder -Verbrennung nicht erreicht werden. Im Gegensatz zu Keramik kann auch kein Eutektikum mit den metallischen Heizelementen entstehen. Da zudem das erfindungsgemäße Filterkörpermaterial elektrisch nicht leitend ist, stellt es von sich aus eine Art elektrischen Isolator beispielsweise zu einem den Filter umgebenden Blechgehäuse dar. Nicht zuletzt kann zwischen einem slchen Mantel und dem Filterkörper ein nur als Verbindungselement bzw. der Isolation dienende Zwischenschicht gleichen Materials vorgesehen sein, um damit vor allem Problemen bei der Wärmedehnung zu begegnen.
