Abstract

The invention in essence concerns a deviced for securing fret saw blades in hollow fret saw shafts and can be used in the production of electrical hand operated fret saws. The device comprises the fret saw frame in the form of a hollow shaft at whose ends the fret saw blade is attached with the aid of a fastening sleeve on the shaft. The shaft and sleeve have coaxial apertures accommodating a screw. The device is provided with an insert which is held in the shaft and has a projection fitting inside a corresponding groove in the shaft. The insert consists of a plug and a flat section. In addition, the device has a protective plate, and the insert can be provided with ridges which match the shape of the tail section the fret saw blade.
