Definitions
- the invention relates to a container holder arranged to carry closable containers provided with a neck, said container holder consisting of a plate provided with at least two perforations each having a diameter just less than the maximum diameter of the neck.
- Such a container holder is described in the international patent application O-A-93/08096 prior, but published after the priority date of the present patent application.
- the container holder described is a component of an assembly which also includes a cardboard envelope enveloping the assembly of the containers.
- the plate is made of semi-rigid plastic and is used, on the one hand, to hold the containers in place and, on the other hand, to support the empty containers.
- the container holder according to the present invention differs from that described in the previous application in that the plate is made of cellular polypropylene having a density of at least 330 g / m 2 .
- the previous application mentions that the plate is made of semi-rigid material such as, for example, fluted plastic.
- the particular choice of the use of cellular polypropylene is not mentioned in the previous application.
- the elasticity of cellular polypropylene makes this material particularly suitable for the use that the present invention gives it.
- Polypropylene is indeed a material resistant to rain while it was light.
- polypropylene is infinitely washable without deteriorating.
- Polypropy- lene is also recyclable.
- the choice of a cellular polypropylene for manufacturing the plate makes it possible to obtain a relatively elastic plate which does not tear easily, which makes it perfectly reusable. Thanks to the elasticity of the material used, a plate is sufficient to carry the bottles and no longer a case or an envelope as is the case for known container carriers. This last characteristic makes it possible to use little material without compromising the reliability of the container holder.
- the containers hang with their necks or capsules in the perforations and are thus suspended from the plate.
- a first embodiment of a container holder according to the invention is characterized in that the friction exerted by the plate on the container pient is such that at the level of the capsule the force necessary for the extraction of the container is at least 1.5 times greater than that necessary for the placement of the container. The placement can thus be carried out without exerting too great a force which would risk breaking the container. The higher pull-out force ensures, on the one hand, that the container remains well hooked and, on the other hand, hinders attempted theft since the containers will not be removed so easily.
- a second embodiment of a container holder according to the invention is characterized in that said plate comprises at least four perfora ⁇ tions and at least one grip tab located substantially in the center between the perforations. The handling of the container holder is thus facilitated.
- the grip tab is formed by cutting from the material of said plate. This facilitates the manufacture of the grip tab.
- a third embodiment of a container holder according to the invention is characterized in that it comprises at least two rows each comprising at least three perforations, the perforations of the same row being aligned in the same direction as the cells .
- the containers are thus arranged in a direction perpendicular to that in which the plate can fold along a cell. Increased reliability is thus obtained.
- Figures 1 and 3 illustrate a top view of examples of a container holder according to the invention
- 2 shows a perspective view of the container holder according to the invention
- FIG. 4 illustrates another embodiment of a container holder according to the invention
- FIG. 5 respectively 6 shows a graph showing the force of placement and extraction at the level of the capsule respectively of the neck as a function of the frequency.
- FIG. 7 illustrates a container holder according to the invention to which two containers of different dimensions are attached.
- the container holder according to the invention is designed to carry different types of container such as, for example, bottles, glass or plastic jars, flasks or tubes.
- the container holder can carry bottles provided with a capsule or a stopper, jars of jam, bottles of shampoo or tubes of toothpaste.
- the containers carried by the same container holder can be the same, but it is also possible to arrange a container holder for different containers such as for example a bottle of alcohol and a bottle of a non-alcoholic drink.
- the containers carried by the same container holder need not necessarily have the same dimension.
- the container holder is a bottle holder which has six perforations 2, and is therefore arranged to carry six bottles.
- the size of the perforations is chosen so that it is just less than the maximum diameter of the neck of the bottle. The bottle thus comes using its neck or its capsule to get stuck in the perforation.
- the bottle holder according to the invention may include more or less perforations to carry for example eight or three or four, or even two bottles. In the case where the bottle holder is designed to carry different types of bottles having different necks, the perforations will inevitably have different diameters.
- the area of the bottle holder 1 depends on the number of bottles to carry and the size of the bottles. For example, for a bottle holder of six bottles of lemonade, the dimensions of the plate, of which the bottle holder is made, are 18.5 x 12.7 cm.
- the bottle holder according to the invention consists of a plate whose surface is substantially planar.
- the sheet is made of cellular polypropylene having a density of at least 330 g / m 2 .
- the fact that it is a cellular polypropylene can be noticed in the presence of cells 3 in the thickness of the plate, which gives an appearance to the plate as if it were a plate. in cardboard while of course not being cardboard.
- the cells have a thickness of, for example, between 2 and 4 mm.
- the plate has a grooved surface such that at the height of a spacer between two cells, a groove extends in the surface of the plate.
- the choice of cellular polypropylene gives elasticity to the plate without compromising the structural rigidity of the plate. This elasticity is very advantageous in order to be able to remove the bottles 5, the neck of which is placed in the perforations 2.
- the density of the polypropylene is at least 330 g / m 2 and is chosen according to the size, the weight and the number of containers to be fixed to the plate. The larger, heavier and more numerous the containers, the higher the density of the polypropylene.
- the plate becomes more rigid without losing its elasticity.
- the density of the polypropylene will vary between 330 g / m 2 and for example 1500 g / m 2 .
- the plate can even become as rigid as it can be used as a bottle opener. Indeed, the capsule 6 of the bottle 5 exceeds the plane of the plate.
- the plate When the plate is sufficiently rigid, it suffices to remove the bottle obliquely so that the edge of the capsule abuts against the plate. Tearing off the bottle will then cause the bottle to be uncapped.
- the plate has two rows of three perforations each, the perforations of the same row are aligned in the same direction as that of the cells 3.
- the plate folds more easily along a groove 4 separating two successive cells 3, only in a direction perpendicular to these grooves 4. The homogeneity of the plate and its reliability are therefore better ensured if the perforations are arranged in the direction shown in Figure 2.
- the plate is folded substantially in the shape of a U, as illustrated in FIG. 4.
- the perforation 11 has a larger diameter than that of the perforation 2 and is aligned along the axis of the neck of the container to which she is destined.
- the perforations 2, 11 are each times aligned two by two.
- the diameter of the perfora ⁇ tion 2 is wider because the neck of the bottle is generally wider at this location.
- the containers have a comparable size and weight.
- the container holder according to the invention can also carry containers of different dimensions and weights, as illustrated in FIG. 7, in which the container holder carries a bottle and a jar. The jar is suspended in space using the perfora ⁇ tion and does not rest on a support. The retaining force exerted by the perforation on the jar keeps it in place. If necessary, the plate can also be provided with a handle, which makes it easier to grip.
- FIG. 5 illustrates a graph in which the extraction force F (F e ) and the placement force (F p ) at the level of the capsule are taken as a function of the frequency.
- frequency is meant here a succession of placements and extracts of a container in the same perforation of the same container holder.
- FIG. 6 illustrates a graph in which the force F of extraction F e and the force of placement F p at the level of the neck are taken as a function of the frequency. It can be seen that at the neck, the placement force is practically equal to the extraction force. Nevertheless, an average force of 3 daN is required for a container holder with a density of 600 g / m 2 . For a container whose weight is generally less than 2 kg, this means considerable force on extraction.
- the very material of cellular polypropylene makes it possible to exert on the containers a great retaining force, which makes this material particularly suitable for being used as container holders.
- the elasticity of polypropylene could a priori prevent a person skilled in the art from choosing it as a container holder. But it is precisely its elastic character combined with its structural rigidity which, surprisingly, allows it to exert this great retaining force on recipients.
- the material is rigid enough to hold the containers.
- the plate is preferably provided with at least one grip tab 7.
- the number of gripping tabs will of course be a function of the size of the plate.
- the grip tab is produced from the plate itself, by a cutting line 8 in the material of the plate.
- the line of cutting having substantially the shape of the end of a finger.
- the user's finger can penetrate to take the bottle holder and bottle assembly.
- the plate which constitutes the bottle holder, is substantially flat, the bottle holder according to the invention can easily be combined with existing containers.
- the relatively small dimension and the fact that the plate only extends up to the neck of the bottles means that the plate does not interfere with or interfere with the spacers provided in the tray.
- the tanks have reinforcing ribs provided inside the tank.
- the plate can be provided with notches 10, as illustrated in FIG. 3.
- the format and the arrangement of the entail ⁇ s will of course be determined by the ribs of the tray.
- polypropylene is a recyclable material which also has excellent fold resistance.
- the plate can thus be reused and will, for example, be stored like the bottles attached to it, thus forming a great advantage from an ecological point of view.
- the polypropylene can be washed indefinitely, which accentuates its reusable appearance.
- the cellular polypropylene does not tear easily, which will have the consequence that the plate will remain usable for several cycles, at least twenty cycles, before being crushed and recycled.
- Another advantage of cellular polypropylene is that it is easily printable and modular.
