Abstract

L'invention concerne un compas (1) à pivot de sécurité permettant de tracer des arcs de cercle ou des cercles complets sur un support sans le perforer et en toute sécurité pour les jeunes utilisateurs. Le pivot de sécurité dudit compas comporte une extrémité arrondie située au bout d'un axe (8) logé dans un corps (9). Ladite extrémité arrondie est partiellement ou entièrement recouverte d'une surface antidérapante (7') destinée à être en contact avec ledit support pour définir le centre de l'arc de cercle ou du cercle à tracer. L'invention s'applique aux instruments de dessin en rotation autour d'un axe.

Description
COMPAS A PIVOT DE SECURITE
La présente invention concerne un compas à pivot de sécurité destiné à tracer des arcs de cercles ou des cercles complets sur un support, ce compas comportant deux branches articulées à leurs extrémités communes, l'une des branches étant équipée d'un pivot de sécurité et l'autre d'un porte-mine ou porte-crayon.
Les compas disponibles dans le commerce sont tous dotés d'un pivot en forme de pointe acérée définissant le centre du cercle ou de l'arc de cercle à tracer. Ladite pointe présente le double inconvénient d'un danger manifeste, en particulier pour les jeunes utilisateurs et de la perforation du support, pouvant constituer une gêne pour l'utilisateur.
La présente invention a pour objet un compas équipé d'un pivot de sécurité permettant d'éviter les inconvénients mentionnés ci-dessus tout en assurant la stabilité et la précision du tracé.
II existe certes des inventions destinées à améliorer le maniement et le tracé des compas : soit dans le but de faciliter le travail du mathématicien - telle l'invention de
Monsieur 60MEZ BARQUERO (FR-A- 1 323 435), soft pour faciliter le tracé de cercles au tableau noir - telles les inventions de Messieurs CHR1STY (US-A-2 074 102) et ZWEIFEL (CH - A - 360 507), soit encore afin de ménager le support comme proposé par l'invention de
M. SCHMITZ-NEUBER (DE-A3 219 736).
A la différence des inventions citées, le compas à pivot de sécurité conçu notamment dans le souci de la sécurité de l'utilisateur, apporte les innovations suivantes :
- suppression de la pointe acérée,
- conception étudiée de la surface de contact du pivot avec le support,
- mobilité du pivot dans l'axe vertical.
On notera également que la présente invention conserve au compas les qualités ergonomiques de l'instrument tel qu'il est actuellement conçu, fabriqué et répandu dans le public.
L'invention concerne un compas du genre indiqué en préambule, caractérisé en ce que ledit pivot de sécurité comporte une extrémité arrondie située au bout d'un axe logé dans un corps et en ce que ladite extrémité arrondie est partiellement ou entièrement recouverte d'une surface antidérapante destinée à être en contact avec ledit support pour définir le centre du cercle ou de l'arc de cercle à tracer. Selon une forme de réalisation préférée, l'extrémité arrondie est partiellement ou entièrement sphérique. Ladite extrémité arrondie peut être mobile autour de son axe, par rapport au corps fixe dudit pivot.
De préférence, les branches du compas sont réalisées en deux parties articulées et les deux parties Inférieures sont reliées à un mécanisme de rappel agencé pour les positionner selon un axe perpendiculaire audit support.
La présente invention et ses avantages apparaîtront mieux dans la description suivante d'un exemple de réalisation, en référence aux dessins annexés, dans lesquels:
- la figure 1 représente une vue en élévation d'un compas selon l'invention et
- la figure 2 est une vue en coupe agrandie du pivot de sécurité objet de l'invention.
En référence aux figures, le compas ( 1 ) se compose de deux branches (2) et (3), articulées à leurs extrémités communes en (4). Chaque branche est terminée par une partie articulée (2') et (3'). Un mécanisme de rappel, ici constitué d'une tige ( 10), permet de maintenir les parties inférieures de chaque branche (2') et (3') en position perpendiculaire au support quel que soit l'angle d'ouverture du compas. Une des branches est équipée d'un pivot de sécurité (5) et l'autre, d'un porte-mine ou porte- crayon (6). Le pivot comprend un corps fixe (9) recevant un axe mobile (8), lui-même terminé par une pointe sphérique (7) recouverte d'une surface antidérapante (7').
La présente Invention n'est pas limitée à l'exemple de réalisation décrit ci-dessus ; mais s'étend à toute variante ou modification évidente pour l'homme de l'art. Notamment, le pivot de sécurité tel qu'il est décrit peut être adapté à tout autre instrument de dessin en rotation autour d'un axe.

RevendicationsCOMPAS A PIVOT DE SECURITE
1. Compas à pivot de sécurité destiné à tracer des arcs de cercles ou des cercles complets sur un support, ce compas comportant deux branches articulées à leurs extrémités communes, l'une des branches étant équipée d'un pivot de sécurité et l'autre d'un porte-mine ou porte-crayon, caractérisé en ce que ledit pivot de sécurité comporte une extrémité arrondie située au bout d'un axe logé dans un corps fixe et en ce que ladite extrémité arrondie est partiel lement ou entièrement recouverte d'une surface antidérapante destinée à être en contact avec ledit support pour définir le centre de l'arc de cercle ou du cercle à tracer.
2. Compas selon la revendication 1 , caractérisé en ce que l'extrémité arrondie est partiellement ou entièrement sphérique.
3. Compas selon la revendication l , caractérisé en que l'extrémité arrondie est mobile autour d'un axe, par rapport au corps fixe dudit pivot.
4. Compas selon la revendication 1 , caractérisé en ce que les branches du compas sont réalisées en deux parties articulées et que les deux parties inférieures sont reliées à un mécanisme de rappel agencé pour les positionner selon un axe perpendiculaire au support.
