Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé pour traiter une bande continue de papier dans une section de séchage (1) d'une machine à papier, dans lequel la bande continue de papier est soumise à un séchage en l'amenant supportée par au moins un feutre de séchage (3) autour de cylindres sécheurs (4, 5) disposés en succession dans la section de séchage, suivant sa direction de mouvement du feutre de séchage. Le feutre de séchage est conçu pour presser la bande continue de papier contre un cylindre sécheur adjacent à celui-ci à n'importe quel emplacement suivant la direction de mouvement. Pour assurer le conditionnement de la bande continue de papier (6), au moins un cylindre sécheur (4, 5) est soumis aux opérations suivantes: A) ce cylindre sécheur particulier (4, 5) est pourvu d'une zone de pressage (5a, 9, 11), B) la bande continue de papier (6) est transportée à travers la zone de pressage (5a, 9, 11) entre le feutre de séchage (3) et un élément élastique (8, 10) et C) la zone de pressage (5a, 9, 11) est réalisée en prévoyant pour le cylindre sécheur un rouleau presseur (9) ou similaire.
