Abstract

L'invention se rapporte à un appareil qui sert à déterminer la position d'un objet en utilisant des rayonnements optiques. Cet appareil comprend une source lumineuse (1) constituée par plusieurs éléments lumineux (2); un détecteur optique (3); des organes optiques (5, 6) constitués par un instrument d'optique (5) pour la source lumineuse et par un instrument d'optique (6) pour le détecteur; ainsi qu'une unité de commande (7) conçue de façon à activer les éléments lumineux (2) selon les besoins, afin de déterminer la position des signaux lumineux incidents captés par le détecteur optique (3) sensible à la position, et sur la base de la position de l'élément lumineux activé et de la position du site de détection, pour que la distance de la surface de l'objet puisse être calculée par le principe de la trigonométrie. Selon la présente invention, la source lumineuse (1) et l'instrument d'optique (5) de la source lumineuse sont intégrés pour former une unité photoémettrice compacte (10). Les éléments lumineux (2) appartenant à la source lumineuse (1) sont disposés proches les uns des autres et comportent un instrument d'optique commun (5) pour la source lumineuse. De même, le détecteur optique (3) et l'instrument d'optique (6) du détecteur sont intégrés pour former une unité photoréceptrice compate (18). Ces unités (10, 18) sont disposées à proximité immédiate les unes des autres et, avantageusement, aussi de l'unité de commande (7).
