Abstract

Un cylindre en céramique à paroi mince et à résistance élevée, en partie fermé à une extrémité et comprenant des aubes de turbines à entrée radiale s'adaptant dans l'extrémité en partie fermée, fournit l'entraînement rotatif, la protection de surface et la résistance à l'éclatement nécessaires pour contenir et mettre en rotation, à l'intérieur d'une bobine réceptrice/émettrice de RMN et à des vitesses de rotation élevées, une capsule en céramique molle jetable remplie d'un échantillon destiné à des expériences de RMN. Une configuration de turbine à entrée radiale améliorée permet d'obtenir une meilleure efficacité pour des micro-turbines. Un palier d'air cylindrique pour tourillon placé aux deux extrémités fournit un support et une stabilité radiales. Un palier d'air de poussée axiale est placé à l'extrémité opposée aux aubes de turbine entre le fond de protection de la capsule molle et une bague de poussée. La céramique à résistance élevée est généralement composée de zircone partiellement stabilisée ou de nitrure de silicium comprimé à chaud. La capsule jetable est généralement composée de nitrure de bore hexagonal.
