Abstract

A seat of the kind which comprises at least two portions (1, 2) connected to each other by a hinge device consisting of at least one pin (3, 24) on one of the portions (2), said pin being able to turn in a housing forming a bearing (4, 25) on the other portion (1) so as to form a hinge. The pin (3, 24) and the bearing (4, 25) are obtained along with the two portions (1, 2 respectively) of the chair during a single injection moulding operation using a single mould. In one embodiment, the movable tubular insert (8) has an oval cross-section and a size such that its internal height (h) substantially corresponds to its external breadth (1), and therefore that the gap (e1) created as a result of its own thickness (e) in a given moulding position is compensated, in a selected position when in use and after removed from the mould, by a relative pivotal movement between the pin (3) and the bearing (4) thereby obtained. Applications: garden furniture.

REVENDICATIONS
