Abstract

A hand-washing liquid particularly comprises a cleaning product and a disinfecting product in cellulose-thickened water; a skin treatment product and a viscosity-increasing product may also be added. This hand-washing liquid can be used in very small quantities and requires no complementary water or liquid so that it can be used wherever there is no supply of running water. It can therefore conveniently be provided in small packages for many different uses.

Description

HAND CLEANING LIQUID

The present invention relates to a cleaning liquid for the hands, or more generally to body cleaning, which does not require means of rinsing such as water for its use.

On many occasions, it may be necessary to clean your hands properly, when you do not have a water point to do this; for example, in the car after a wheel change, on a picnic, on a construction site, at the workplace or more generally in any place not connected to a water distribution network.

Various solutions exist making it possible to try to clean the hands in such cases, the most trivial consisting of having a soap and a reserve of water in a suitable bottle or can; the material necessary for this simple operation quickly becomes bulky if you want, for example, to have a soap capable of cleaning hands soiled with dirt, but also another lighter soap that does not damage the hands when they are not very dirty; moreover the water reserve being limited, it will be possible to carry out only a few cleanings, and finally according to the circumstances, this solution is not suitable for cases where there is no possibility of draining ¬ water, in a room for example. Another possibility is to use wet towels, kept in a sealed package, but whose action is more fragrant than cleaning.

A certain number of patents or patent applications describe cleaning products comprising one or more of the components used in the formulation of one or other of the embodiments of the present product; especially documents GB-A-930.394, GB-A-2.106.927, BE-A-672.899, US-A-2.994.665, DE-A-2.846.639, but the application of which is essentially different from that of the present invention since it is respectively a product for dishwasher and washing machine, a product for cleaning the C bowl, a product for a washing machine, a product for cleaning floors , a cleaning product for household, dishes, tiles and windows as well as a cleaning product for cars, washing machines and floors. These various products, if they contain one or other of the components of the product of the present invention, do not have a formulation designed for use in body cleansing. European patent application EP-A-166,608 describes a cleaning product for body use but which requires rinsing with water for its elimination from the body after use.

The invention proposes to make available a cleaning liquid for the hands, the use of which does not meet the drawbacks and disadvantages mentioned above; this cleaning liquid requiring no water or additional liquid, can be used in any location not connected both to a water distribution system and to a drainage network, its cleaning power being very high, only a very small amount of liquid is necessary, even for heavily fouled hands, and moreover, disinfectant and skin care components being included in the liquid, the use thereof is not detrimental to the skin of the hands. However, it should be noted that this product can also be used as a liquid cleaning soap, with water, for people who, by reflex, habit or mechanically, would operate a water tap. current located nearby. The base of the composition of the cleaning product is formed from water, thickened with a cellulosic product, thus allowing a very small amount of product to be sufficient for effective cleaning of the hands. . Preferably, this cellulosic product will be an ethylhydroxyethylcellulose, known as BERMOCOLL E 481 FQ. Other cellulose products can also be used, such as, for example, purified sodium carboxymethylcellulose, methylcellulose, methylhydroxypropylcellulosehylcellulose or sodium alginate. It is also possible to obtain regularity in the viscosity of the cleaning product by adding amides of a fatty acid, for example lauric acid diethanolamide or lauric acid isopropanolamide to the preceding component. In the case of the use of BERMOCOLL E 481 FQ, the concentration of said cellulosic product can vary between 0.2% and 1.0% by mass, the best concentration being 0.35% by mass. In the case of the use of the other cellulosic products mentioned, their concentration can vary between 0.1% and 0.5% by mass.

As an emulsifier or cleaning product, a polyglycol ether of nonionic fatty acid with 10 to 50 mol E.O. (E.O. = ethoxylates) is used, the structure of which is:

The higher the degree of ethoxylation, the more foaming the product. The concentration of said emulsifier, in the case of the use of RE OPAL TA 25p, is 0.5 to 2.5% by mass, preferably: 0.78%. For the well-being of the skin after cleansing ge, ethoxylated mono- and diglycerides are recommended; a non-ionic surfactant of the RE ODERM LI 63 type, the structure of which is:

This component is used between 0.2% and 1.0% by mass, the best concentration being 0.35% by mass.

Similar products (ethoxylated diglycerides) can be used in the same proportions.

- In order to increase the viscosity and to control the foaming structure, a nonionic surfactant based on fatty acid amide is used, for example a diethanolamide of coconut acid of the REWOMID DC 212s type, of which the structure is:

This component is used in a concentration ranging from 0.1% to 2.5% by mass, the best concentration being 0.78%.

REWOMID DC 212s could be replaced by sodium chloride (NaCl) in the same proportions. A glycine derivative or a catalytic ampholyte nique is used as a disinfectant additive; these amphoteric surfactants give the best results. The component used is of the REWOTERIC QAM 50 type, the structure of which is:

This component is used in an amount of 0.1% to 1.0% by mass, the preferred concentration being 0.39%. Other bacteriostatic products like

LANOQUAT 50, based on lanolin sulfosuccinates, can replace REWOTERIC QAM 50 in the same concentrations.

In the case of the hand cleaning liquid according to the invention, the concentration of cleaning products can vary between 2 and 3% of active substance; the rest of the solution is water.

The PH value and the viscosity vary respectively from 6 to 8 and from 5 to 7 Pa.s depending on the formulas used.

It is possible to add to the basic formula additives, such as preservatives, perfumes, dyes, as well as natural concentrates of different plants, thus making it possible to obtain specific cleansing products, for example for sensitive skin, for treat various conditions, etc.

Due to the thickening action of BERMOCOLL E 481 FQ, only a very small amount of product allows a complete and effective cleaning of the hands. The optimal dose is between 0.8 ml and 1.2 ml; therefore the packaging may be done in small quantities, of the order of 1 to several dl, allowing a few dozen or even a hundred uses. Thus, the bottle containing the hand cleaning product will preferably be provided with a stopper or a dosing spout, so as to deliver only the required quantity of liquid; it is also possible to provide a packaging of the liquid in the form of a spray or a vaporizer. For the use of the cleaning product for the hands, it is enough to deposit the required quantity of liquid in the hands, then to rub the hands one on the other and to wipe the hands with 1 ^" using a towel or handkerchief (the operation can be repeated possibly one or more times, in case of extremely dirty hands); it is not then necessary to rinse your hands and they are not covered with a greasy film as can be encountered with other kinds of products. By the action of the disinfectant, the hands are disinfected and treated with REWODERM LI 63.

This cleaning product for the hands being of universal use, it can be conditioned in many ways according to the specific intended use; for example - be in the form of a distributor available in the halls of stations, terminals, department stores, hotels and restaurants, public transport and finally in all public places, as well that in professional premises, workshops and work sites for example; in these cases it is particularly well suited to be used in one of the distributors which are the subject of the patent application published WO 90/10285.

For personal or family use, the bottle can be part of a cleaning kit, designed especially for the automobile, camping or for the bag or pocket; it can also be in the form of a mini-package of a single dose dispensed with a tissue on planes, restaurants etc. The hand cleaning liquid can also form part of a table display, with handkerchiefs or paper napkins, in particular for replacing the finger rinses used after certain dishes. Because of its properties, this cleaning product can easily also be used for many other uses than hand cleaning, especially in places where water must be saved. to be used for the complete cleaning of the human body, in the form of a "dry shower" in mountain huts, in civil protection shelters, for soldiers or in cabins carrying out space conquest among others. It should also be noted that this product is also usable for cleaning all animals, objects or surfaces to be cleaned and / or disinfected.

Thus, the cleaning product for the hands, by its cleaning qualities as well as the fact that it does not require a water point for its use is of a very universal use; given the small quantity of liquid required, it is very easily packaged in reduced volume, whether for public places, industry, transport, family or personal use.

Claims

1-A body cleansing method characterized in that it uses only a body cleansing liquid comprising thickened water and a cleaning product, without requiring any rinsing means.

2-body cleansing liquid for use by the method according to claim 1, charac¬ terized in that the cellulose used for thickening the water is an ethyl-hydroxy-ethyl cellulose whose mass concentration can vary between 0.2% and 1.0%, preferably 0.35%, or a purified carboxymethylcelluloseodium, or a methylcellulose, methylhydroxypropylcellulose, or a hydroxyethylcellulose or a sodium alginate, the mass concentration of which may vary between 0.1% and 0.5%.

3-Body cleansing liquid according to re¬ vendication 2, characterized in that diethanolamide of lauric acid or of isopropanolamide of lauric acid is added to the formulation.

4-Body cleansing liquid for use by the process according to claim 1, characterized in that the cleaning product is a polyglyco-ether of fatty acid, nonionic, with 10 to 50 mol ethoxylates, of which the mass concentration can vary between 0.5% and 2.5%, preferably 0.78%.

5-Body cleansing liquid for use by the method according to claim 1, characterized in that it further comprises a product disinfectant.

6-Body cleansing liquid according to re¬ vendication 5, characterized in that the disinfectant product is a glycine derivative or a cationic ampholyte or a product based on lano¬ line sulfosuccinates whose mass concentration may vary between 0.1% and 1.0%, preferably 0.39%.

7-Body cleansing liquid according to Claims 2 to 5, characterized in that a skin treatment product and / or a viscosity increasing product is added to said liquid.

8-Body cleansing liquid according to re¬ vendication 7, characterized in that the skin treatment product is an ethoxylated mono- or diglyceride whose mass concentration can vary between 0.2% and 1.0%, from preferably 0.35%.

9-Body cleansing liquid according to re¬ vendication 7, characterized in that the viscosity enhancement product is a diethanolamide of coconut acid or sodium chloride, the mass concentration of which can vary between 0 , 1% and 2.5%, preferably 0.78%.
