It is also possible according to the invention to provide only one or a couple of comparatively short sleeves on a comparatively long core 1, so that the sleeves only will cover a minor portion of the core, a possibility which sometimes is worthwhile.

Abstract

Ame de rouleau imprimeur destinée à un rouleau imprimeur, comprenant la dite âme (1) ainsi qu'un manchon (22) prévu pour être monté sur l'âme à partir d'une de ses extrémités, et pour être déplacé le long de la dite âme vers des positions de travail et inversement sur cette dernière, à l'aide d'air comprimé dont on provoque l'écoulement par les passages (13a à 13h) aboutissant dans des sorties réparties le long de la surface extérieure de l'âme, de sorte que le manchon, à partir d'un état dans lequel ce dernier s'adapte étroitement sur l'âme, lorsque l'on ne fait pas s'écouler d'air comprimé dans les dites sorties, peut être dilaté par de l'air que l'on fait s'écouler par les dites sorties, de sorte que le manchon peut être déplacé le long de l'âme. On peut relier les passages à une source d'air comprimé, laquelle est de préférence commune auxdits passages. Dans chacun desdits passages se trouve une vanne (14), et chaque vanne comprend un élément d'ouverture (17, 19) dont la partie extérieure (19) s'étend au-delà de la surface extérieure (7) de la partie extérieure (2) de l'âme, lorsque la vanne est fermée et que la dite partie extérieure se trouve dans sa position extérieure, la dite partie extérieure pouvant être déplacée par une action mécanique extérieure de la dite position extérieure à une position interne, à l'intérieur de la surface extérieure de la dite âme ou coïncidente avec celle-ci, dans laquelle la vanne est ouverte de sorte que l'air comprimé peut s'écouler par l'orifice situé dans la surface de l'âme, la dite action mécanique étant exécutée par le manchon à mesure que ce dernier est monté sur l'âme, les vannes étant successivement ouvertes à mesure que le manchon est amené en contact avec leurs parties extérieures, et étant à nouveau fermées lorsque ledit manchon a dépassé l'orifice en question.
