Thereafter the cutting steel 14 moves by means of the cylinder 16 whereby the binding wires are caught by the cutting teeth 17 and led down into the pocket 19 where the binding wire is clamped between the lower flank 20 of the cutting teeth and the bevelled portion 22 of the counter steel 15. Due to the shortest distance between the counter steel 15 and the lower flank of the cutting teeth being in the cutting position 23, the binding wire always is clamped most safely just in this position. The cutting then takes plac between the teeth 17 of the cutting steel and the teeth 21 of the counter steel.
  • the design of the pocket 19 and counter steel 15 will imply that the wire break will occur just in the cutting position 23. It is hereby ensured that the binding wire always breaks in this position, irrespective whether it is cut or torn. Owing to the varying pitch between the cutting teeth 17 along the cutting steel 14, no cuttings take place simultaneously. This prevents overload of the ⁇ utting arrangement and ensures troublefree de-wiring.

Abstract

Agencement de coupe de fils de liage se trouvant sur des balles, telles que des balles de cellulose, des balles de papier et analogues, comprenant un convoyeur (1) destiné à la balle (2), un poste de déliage doté de moyens de fixations (4 à 7) destinés à ladite balle, ainsi que des éléments coupants se présentant sous la forme de deux contre-lames (14, 28 et, respectivement, 15, 29) respectivement coupantes et longues, mobiles l'une par rapport à l'autre, comportant chacune une pluralité de dents (17, 31 et, respectivement 21, 30) permettant de couper le fil de liage, lesdits éléments coupants étant agencés sur des bras coupants (8, 9) mobiles vers ladite balle (2) et inversement. Les éléments de fixation comprennent deux plaques (4, 5) mobiles l'une par rapport à l'autre, destinées à lever et à fixer ladite balle (2). Lesdites dents (17, 31) de la lame coupante (14, 28) sont formées dans une poche (19) situées sur le côté inférieur, afin d'enrouler le fil de liage, ladite poche étant définie vers le haut par le pan inférieur (20) des dents coupantes (17, 31). Ladite contre-lame (15, 29) s'étend à partir du côté, à une certaine distance intérieure en-dessous des dents (17, 31), de la lame coupante afin de serrer le fil de liage dans ladite poche (19), entre le pan inférieur (20) desdites dents coupantes (17, 31) et ladite contre-lame (15, 29) avant de couper le fil.
