Abstract

Es wird ein Federsystem beschrieben mit einem ringförmigen Federelement (114, 118) aus einem Verbundwerkstoff, bei welchem endlos zu einem Wickelkörper gewickelte federelastische Fasern in einen Matrixwerkstoff eingebettet sind. Bei den Fasern handelt es sich vorzugsweise um hochfeste Glasfasern oder Hochleistungs-Chemiefasern. Die am Federsystem angreifenden äusseren Kräfte (F) werden untersetzt und umgelenkt und belasten das Federelement (114, 118) in radialer Richtung, wodurch eine Dehnung des Federelementes in Umfangsrichtung und damit auch eine Dehnung der Fasern bewirkt wird. Die Kraftuntersetzung und -umlenkung geschieht vorzugsweise mit hydraulischen Mitteln mit hohem Druck, wozu ein besonderes Dichtsystem vorgesehen ist. Es wird ein extrem hohes volumenspezifisches Energiespeichervermögen erreicht durch Verwendung der Hochleistungsfasern einerseits und durch optimale Werkstoffausnutzung infolge von im wesentlichen vorherrschenden Zugspannungen. Das Federsystem kann ganz allgemein verwendet werden. Als spezielle Anwendungsfälle werden der Einsatz als Hochleistungs-Energiespeicher für Spannaufgaben an umlaufenden Werkzeugmaschinenspindeln und der Einsatz als Feder zum Erdbebenschutz von Bauwerken beschrieben.
