Abstract

Un appareil de fusion et de coulage à solidification rapide d'alliages métalliques comporte un creuset (2) permettant de mouler une charge de métaux. Ledit creuset comporte des parois latérales (3), une partie supérieure (7) et une partie inférieure (20) dans lesquelles se trouve un orifice (5). Les parois latérales, la partie supérieure et la partie inférieure définissent collectivement l'intérieur dudit creuset. Une partie des dimensions desdites parois latérales et de la partie inférieure, est divisée par des fentes longitudinales (11) situées dans au moins deux segments. Un ajutage (8) se situe partiellement à l'intérieur dudit creuset, et s'étend dans ledit orifice. Ledit ajutage comporte une première extrémité (24) en communication avec l'intérieur (22) dudit creuset. Dans la seconde extrémité (26) dudit ajutage se trouve un orifice (28) destiné à définir un courant d'alliages métalliques en fusion. Un mécanisme de refroidissement (4) refroidit la partie supérieure, les parois latérales ainsi que la partie inférieure dudit creuset. Ledit appareil comprend des mécanismes (30, 32, 34) destinés à induire des courants électriques alternatifs dans la charge de métaux et à l'intérieur de l'ajutage et destiné à établir et à maintenir de la pression à l'intérieur dudit creuset. Un mécanisme de positionnement (10) positionne ledit creuset ainsi qu'un moyen d'ajutage par rapport à un mécanisme de trempe (36), lequel comprend un substrat de refroidissement se déplaçant rapidement. Ledit creuset, ledit ajutage et ledit mécanisme de trempe sont logés dans une enceinte (1) ménageant en son intérieur une atmosphère régulée ayant une pression positive ou négative.
