Abstract

The arrangement is used to produce a background setting, in particular, for a photographer's studio. The structure consists of two lateral (2), vertical members, provided with support feet (4), whereby the upper part of said members is adapted to receive at least one blind (11) with a winding device. Numerous accessories may be envisaged in conjunction with this arrangement for hanging and producing all types of settings. When the arrangement is equipped with a plurality of blinds, one at least of these blinds may consist of a setting on translucid film and another at least of said blinds may consist of a diffusing film. These elements are used in combination associated with background lighting which is suitable in order for the photographer to implement an original process for taking pictures.

The present invention relates to the field of accessories intended for the production of sets, it relates more particularly to a scenj ue structure for the production of an atmospheric decoration, in particular for a studio of photographers. The invention also relates to an original process for taking photographic images using this scenic structure.

Photographic shots, taken in the studio, require the use of an artistic background or background, consisting of an attached decoration or a simple decorated or plain canvas allowing, as the case may be, to stage a subject, to bring it out and / or to improve the lighting.

The current structures, intended for the realization of atmospheric decorations, consist either of complex, heavy devices, not allowing rapid modification, or in very simple systems, of the sliding curtain type, which do not offer great possibilities. decorative or lighting variations. T _he present invention provides a remedy to these drawbacks by providing a stage structure for achieving ambient sets, with multiple possibilities for change, both in scenery and in terms of lighting, and this in a very fast. This structure, light and mobile, is versatile and can be moved at will.

According to the invention, this structure consists of two vertical lateral uprights provided with holding feet; the upper part of these uprights is adapted to receive at least one blind provided with a roller device.

Preferably, this structure includes a plurality of roller blinds. These blinds are arranged parallel to each other and spaced so as not to touch when they are unrolled.

According to another characteristic of the invention, at least one of the blinds consists of a decoration on translucent film, produced for example by electrostatic means or by screen printing; at least one of the blinds consists of a frosted film and the combination of these blinds, with appropriate lighting, allows the achievement of background effects.

Still according to the invention, the upper part of the lateral uprights is associated with a plate provided with fixing means for receiving at least one blind provided with a roller device, which can be controlled electrically. This plate can advantageously support optoelectronic means for measuring light, associated with a display system to give the user the exact diaphragm adjustment data of the device. According to another arrangement of the invention, the two lateral uprights are provided with means for fixing a reflective panel intended to focus the light; this reflector panel can be associated with lateral extensions mounted on hinges.

Still according to the invention, the vertical uprights of the chassis support two flaps with crossings, fixed by means of hinges. These leaves can support reflective panels intended to focus the light, in association with the panel held by the lateral uprights of the chassis.

The structural arrangements described above offer the possibility of creating a space-saving scenic structure which allows the attachment of numerous accessories to achieve an atmospheric decor. This versatile structure allows great variability in decor and also in lighting; changes can be made very quickly.

The invention also relates to a method of taking photographic photographs using this scenic structure. This process consists in using in combination:

- at least one decorative structure, flat or in relief, on translucent or other film,

- a frosted rear light diffuser, _ a frosted front, retaining the diffused image, these various elements are associated with rear lighting, produced by means of projectors, for producing the photograph.

The scenic structure, shown in Figures 1 and 2, consists of a rectangular frame 1, vertical, consisting of two lateral uprights 2 and an upper cross member 3. This frame 1 can be produced by assembling aluminum or steel profiles, by means of '' internal squares and cutting of tabs.

The base frame, consisting of the uprights and the cross member, is intended to serve as a support for various accessories or means for hanging decorations. The stability of the assembly is obtained by means of two lateral holding feet 4 integral with the lower part of the uprights 2 and which extend rearward. These retaining feet ensure the substantially vertical positioning of the chassis 1; their attachment to the uprights 2 can be achieved by welding.

The vertical frame defined by this chassis has dimensions adapted to its function; it can for example have a height of 2.10 m and a width of between 1 and 3 m.

REPLACEMENT SHEET These dimensions, in the context of use in a photography studio, depend on the subjects and shots to be taken.

The upper part of the chassis supports a chest-shaped plate 5 secured to the lateral uprights 2 or to the upper cross member 3. This connection can be achieved by means of bolts and nuts or by welding. The trunk 5 consists of two lateral supports 6, a front face 7, a rear face 8 and an upper cover 9 covering the assembly. The lateral supports 6, front 7 and rear 8 faces consist of substantially vertical elements extending downward from the upper protective plate 9, so as to give the trunk 5 a shape substantially corresponding to a cover. This protective box 5 is produced by folding and assembling aluminum or steel sheets.

The two lateral supports 6 extend substantially perpendicular to the vertical plane defined by the frame 1 of the structure. These two supports 6 are parallel and they support, as can be seen in detail in FIG. 2, two reels 10 each supporting a blind or curtain 11 and each mounted on a horizontal axis 12, on either side of the plane defined by the chassis 1 of the structure. One of the two or two blinds 11 are intended to be unwound downwards, between the lateral uprights 2, to constitute at least part of the decoration. The fixing of the reels 10 on the lateral supports 6 is conventional by means of pulleys on one side and hub carrier with bearing on the other; it can advantageously be made removably to allow rapid change of the decor. Each blind 11 is mounted on a reel 10 which automatically ensures their winding and unwinding, either by means of the operating cord 13, or by means of an electric mechanism. The two parallel blinds 11 can consist of various materials intended for the production of the decoration. When the blind is unrolled, the decoration extends in a plane parallel to the plane defined by the frame of the structure; the change of decor is achieved by simply rolling up or unwinding the blinds, it is also possible to turn the structure over to present different decorations, for example painted on the back of said blinds. The lightness and simplicity of the whole ensure the mobility of the structure; this mobility can also be facilitated by the possible presence of rollers at the level of the support feet.

The front 7 and rear 8 elements of the trunk 5 constitute upper strips on which accessory hooks can be arranged, or even hook-and-loop means of the hook strip type for the rapid fixing of additional decor elements.

The trunk 5 can also support, on the front face 7, optoelectronic means for measuring the light. These means, in the form of a cell associated with a display system 14, make it possible to provide the user with the data for adjusting the diaphragm of the camera. As can always be seen in Figures 1 and 2, two crossed leaves 15 are fixed by means of hinges 16 on the lateral uprights 2. Each leaf is produced by assembling aluminum or steel profiles by means of welds or rivets by example. They each consist of a rectangular frame inside which intersect profiles of the same kind as those constituting the outer frame, so as to give them a decorative appearance. Each leaf 15 has a width corresponding substantially to half the width of the frame of the structure; they have an angular clearance close to 180 ° around the uprights 2. They can thus both be closed between the uprights 2, as seen partially in FIG. 2, or be completely open, or be arranged in any other position

REPLACEMENT SHEET intermediary between these two extremes. The upper limit of these two leaves is slightly below the level of the trunk 5 and the reels 10 so that the latter do not hinder their movements; their lower limit is located substantially above ground level.

These two crossed leaves constitute in themselves a decoration means which can be used in association with one or more blinds 11. They can thus be deployed towards the outside of the frame so as to increase the surface of the scenic structure, to be folded in front of the blinds or even between two blinds, the first being transparent or semi-transparent.

These two leaves 15 can also serve as supports for additional decorative means. For this purpose, they can be provided with hooks 17 at their upper part, said hooks being used for example to hang curtains or other decorative structures.

The scenic structure as described above can be used to create interesting photographic effects. An example of such an embodiment is shown in Figure 3, seen from the side.

In this figure, the two crossed leaves 15 are arranged parallel to one another, perpendicular to the plane passing through the lateral uprights 2 of the scenic structure. The front blind 11 is unwound vertically and each of its lateral sides is held, for example by a set of pliers or lateral clips 18 integral with the corresponding leaf 15, so as to allow the curvature of the blind 11. The lateral clips 18 can so advantageous consist of two half-crosspieces, or tension cylinders, each clipped onto the corresponding leaf 15, so as to support only the lateral edges of the blind and leave its central part free.

These tension cylinders 18 can be advanced or moved back on the leaves 15 to vary the roundness of the blind 11 at will. They are for example 5 to 10 cm long; provided with a transverse notch which fits on the horizontal cross. The diameter of the tube is 2 to 3 cm. AT

REPLACEMENT SHEET from this lateral attachment means 18, the blind 11 is unwound horizontally to a horizontal holding bar 19, each end of which is integral with the leaves 15. After passing over this bar 19, the blind 11 descends to the bottom of the structure, in a substantially vertical plane.

The blind 11 used in this context may consist of a white nylon weft. The lateral clips 18 and holding bar 19 direct the blind 11 so as to give it a horizontal position intended for example to serve as a reproduction table. This particular arrangement makes it possible to obtain a horizontal surface on which objects can be arranged. Seen from the front and on a white background, the object seems "suspended"; suitable lighting from below can be combined with this set to achieve a translucent table effect.

Figure 4 shows another embodiment of the structure according to the invention, provided with three roller blinds and a Venetian blind, for example with translucent slats or not. For reasons of simplification, the parts common to the first embodiment retain the same references.

This structure, seen from the side and in cross section, consists of a frame 1 comprising two faired lateral uprights 2, for example in the shape of a quarter of a circle, from which extend, two rear support legs 4. Each upright-foot assembly can be made in one piece, by molding. The upper part of the uprights 2 supports an integrated protective box 5, faired, in the shape of a quarter circle facing forward. This trunk 5 makes it possible to hide the internal accessories in the form of reels 10 supporting curtains or blinds 111, 112, 113 and in the form of a Venetian blind 20 mounted on a support 21. The reels 10 and the support 21 are supported laterally by the uprights 2 or by the trunk 5 which, in this case, includes end support flanges.

REPLACEMENT SHEET incorporated in one of the uprights 2. An electric cable ensures the supply of said motorizations and each blind 111, 112 and 113 is controlled by means of a switch 22. The control means of the reels are integrated in one lateral uprights 2 so as not to harm the aesthetics of the assembly.

Electrical sockets 23 can also be fitted to one of the uprights 2, connected to the general power cable; these sockets can for example be used to power projectors.

As in the first embodiment (FIGS. 1 and 2), cross leaves 15 can be associated with the lateral uprights 2, mounted on hinges 16; an optoelectronic light measurement system associated with a display system 14 can also be positioned on the trunk 5.

The various blinds 111, 112, 113 and 20 are arranged parallel to each other and so that they can be rolled down without touching.

The nature of these blinds can advantageously be determined in order to be able to use them in combination, once unrolled vertically, associated with rear lighting by means of spotlights or projectors 24, this in order to obtain photographic shots with a particular background effect. ier.

To obtain such an effect, a decorative structure, which for example consists of at least one blind on translucent film, possibly produced by means of an electrostatic or screen printing technique, is associated with at least one other blind which consists of a frosted film. , for example matt polycarbonate. The combination of these two blinds, with an appropriate rear lighting, allows to obtain a particular mood decoration for background. The decorative structure may also consist of any decoration such as a Venetian blind intended to form a Chinese shade as a background decoration.

In connection with the embodiment shown in Figure 4, it is in particular possible to provide a translucent central blind 112, possibly associated with the blind

REPLACEMENT SHEET Venetian 20 and, on both sides, to use a front blind 113 and a rear blind 111 in matt polycarbonate. The rear frosted film 111 diffuses the light on the central decoration and the front frosted film 113 ensures the retention of the diffused image.

This use combines transparent and semi-transparent films, combined with a rear lighting plane, creates a shadow image on the frosted front.

This characteristic arrangement allows a photographer, placed in front of the flaps 15, to implement an original method of taking photographic photographs. This particular arrangement also ensures the possibility of using several rear light projectors, without obtaining several shadows on the frosted front. Complementary accessories can also be associated with the scenic structure shown in FIG. 1 or 4. As shown diagrammatically in FIG. 5, the basic frame 1, consisting of the two lateral uprights 2, can serve as a support for a reflective panel 25. This reflector panel 25 consists of a central part 26, fixed laterally on the uprights, from which extend two lateral extensions 27 mounted on hinges 28. The panel 25 can be fixed to the frame of the structure, for example by means of latches integral with the back of the central panel 26, which latches engage in orifices 29 made in the internal face of the uprights. These fixing holes 29 are visible in Figures 1, 3 and. The mounting of the reflecting lateral extensions 27 on hinges allows their angular rotation of approximately 180 ° around the vertical lateral edge of the central panel 26. This mobility allows the adaptation of the conditions of light and light reflection, according to the desired photographic effect. In the example shown in Figure 5, the panel 25 consists of a total white diffuser with two hinged flaps.

In this case, the mobility of the lateral diffusers is obtained by the rotation of the crossed wings 15 .

Thanks to the structural arrangements described above, the invention makes it possible to obtain a large decorative surface, on a simple and mobile structure or gantry. This gantry crane is a means of hanging all types of accessories for the creation of atmospheric decorations. Other accessories can also be envisaged such as canvas curtains, or even plastic panes positioned on the flaps with crossings, possibly with decorative patterns. Extension frames can also be provided for laterally extending the stage structure. The number and position of the blinds provided in the upper part of the stage structure can also vary depending on the applications and needs of use.

The reference signs inserted after the technical characteristics mentioned in the claims have the sole purpose of facilitating the understanding of the latter and in no way limit their scope.
