Abstract

Une résistance variable compacte et bon marché a une valeur de résistance pouvant être réglée par un signal de données. Ladite résistance variable comprend un certain nombre de résistances variables reliées en série, ainsi qu'un commutateur électronique individuel relié en parallèle à chaque résistance individuelle. Une bascule détient le signal de données et commande les commutateurs jusqu'à réception d'un nouveau signal de données. Chaque résistance individuelle comprend une résistance de r/x s'ajoutant à la valeur de base choisie de la résistance individuelle, x représentant le nombre total de commutateurs électroniques. Les valeurs des résistances individuelles sont de préférence choisies dans la progression 2?0, 21, 22, 23¿, et ainsi de suite, de sorte que la résistance de ladite résistance variable corresponde à la valeur binaire de données appliquées afin de commander les commutateurs électroniques. On peut monter au moins quatre desdites résistances variables sur une seule puce de circuit intégré de taille normale. Afin de réduire au minimum le nombre de connexions à la puce, ledit circuit intégré comprend en outre un registre de décalage et un décodeur destinés à alimenter une bascule sélectionnée en données provenant d'un flux de données sérielles.
