Abstract

On détermine optiquement la vitesse de particules par l'emploi de configurations de franges d'interférences croisées. On produit les configurations de franges en faisant passer des faisceaux laser de longueur d'onde distincte dans une fibre optique commune (30) et dans deux réseaux de diffraction (34, 36) croisés liés à l'extrémité libre de la fibre (30). Chaque réseau de diffraction (34, 36) est construit à la manière d'un filtre d'interférences de manière à produire des configurations d'interférences à une longueur d'onde, mais de manière à produire l'autre longueur d'onde de façon sensiblement uniforme dans le réseau. On peut utiliser d'autres éléments d'interférences à la place de réseaux de diffraction, et l'emploi d'un seul réseau de diffraction est prévu dans certaines circonstances. On peut obtenir une indication du sens de mouvement des particules en créant une configuration de franges ayant un espacement de franges croissant de manière constante.
