Abstract
A handle (1) is integrally connected to a coupling part (2) which can be interchangeably connected to a tool (3). The coupling part (2) has a bore (5) extending inward from the front face (4) facing the tool (3), in which a pin-shaped coupling part (6) secured to the tool (3) can be inserted. A bolt-shaped locking element (8) movably held in the coupling part (2) in a plane perpendicular to the bore (5) engages, in the locking position, in a recess (7) on the pin-shaped coupling part (6) and the opposite side rests against an actuating pin (11) which is movably guided in a second bore (10) parallel to said bore (5) and can be pressed inwards against the action of a spring (12). In the inwardly depressed position, a recess (18) on the periphery of the actuating pin (11) is level with the bolt-shaped locking element (8), which can therefore move sideways into the recess (18) and is released from the locking position, so that the pin-shaped coupling part (6) on the tool (3) can be detached from the coupling part (2). The easily manipulated coupling is a body with essentially smooth outer walls and, together with the handle, constitutes, in a chrome-plated version, an easily sterilizable surgical instrument.
Description
Handhabe mit Kupplung und mit dieser auswechselbar kuppelbares Werkzeug Handle with coupling and with this interchangeable tool
The invention relates to a handle with a clutch and with this interchangeably couplable tool, which is used for machining surfaces, must be interchangeable with another tool and can be operated by hand with great effort. For this purpose, a handle that is too extensive with both hands is necessary, which should be able to be coupled with the exchangeable tool with the simplest possible means. To this object on which the present invention is based, in the case of a surgical instrument to be used in the medical field, there is also an additional task to be taken into account that the handle and coupling and their connection with the tool have largely smooth surfaces which are easy to keep clean, so that these surfaces can be chrome-plated and the entire device can be sterilized for use in the medical field. In this case, the tool is, in particular, a rasp for processing the bone canal, for example a femur, into which a hip prosthesis is to be inserted. In some cases, this requires great effort and limited access. The tool then has a special, non-symmetrical shape corresponding to the shape of the bone channel, so that it can only be coupled to the handle in a certain position for the correct, suitable working posture. Suitable for this Provision of measures also belongs to the object on which the invention is based.
The measures according to claim 1 serve to solve this problem. The coupling part, which is fixedly arranged on the handle, is smooth-walled on the outside and has a bore extending only on one end face and the actuating pin extends somewhat on the opposite face to unlock the coupling outward. On the tool is also only a smooth zapfenförmi ger coupling part available, which has a recess for the locking element on the circumference. In an expedient embodiment, the locking element is a bolt which is arranged at right angles to the axes of the bore for the peg-shaped coupling part and the bore for the actuating pin and which is held in an elongated hole on each of the opposite sides of the coupling part. These elongated holes can be closed on the outside after the parts have been assembled, and with the chrome layer then placed over this area, this area is also smooth-walled.
Because of the forces to be transmitted, a centering pin protruding from the coupling end face of the coupling part bearing against the tool is expediently provided, which engages in a corresponding bore formed on the tool. This centering pin also serves to ensure that the tool can only be connected in one position to the coupling part attached to the handle.
An embodiment of the invention is explained below with reference to the drawings. Show it: Figure 1 shows the handle with clutch and the tool separately, in a graphical representation.
Fig. 2 einen Axialschnitt durch den an der Handhabe befestigten Kupplungsteil;2 shows an axial section through the coupling part fastened to the handle;
Fig. 3 eine Draufsicht auf ein Kupplungsteil gemäss Fig. 2 von oben;3 shows a top view of a coupling part according to FIG. 2 from above;
Fig. 4 den Endbereich des Werkzeugs mit dem zapfenförmigen Kupplungsteil .Fig. 4 shows the end region of the tool with the pin-shaped coupling part.
Es ist auch möglich, den Zentrierstift unterhalb der Feder 12 in der Bohrung 10 fest anzuordnen, oder auch zwei Zentrierstifte vorzusehen.1 is a flat, schi enenf rmi ger body 1 bent upright as a handle and carries at one end the fixed coupling part 2, which is cuboid with rounded narrow sides. A bore 5 extends from the end face 4 of the coupling part 2 lying against the tool 3 perpendicular to the end face for receiving the pin-shaped coupling part 6 arranged on the tool 3 into the coupling part 2. The pin-shaped coupling part 6 has on one side on the circumference a circular arc-shaped recess 7 for receiving a locking element 8 in the form of a short bolt. 2 shows, this bolt 8 is held on opposite sides of the coupling part 2 in a slot 9 and can move back and forth within these slots in a plane transverse to the bore 5. After the bolt 8 has been inserted, the elongated holes 9 are closed and are no longer visible under a coating which is subsequently applied, for example if the entire coupling part is chrome-plated. In a further bore 10 parallel to the bore 5, an actuating pin 11 is held, which can be pressed inwards against the action of a helical compression spring 12 arranged in the bore 10. A centering pin 14 is fixedly arranged in the coupling part 2 on the side to be pressed against the tool 3. The centering pin 14 engages in a bore 16 on the end face of the tool 3 when the zapfenf rmi ge coupling part 6 is inserted into the bore 5. Because of the centering pin, only one position is possible to connect the tool 3 to the coupling part 2. It is also possible to arrange the centering pin firmly below the spring 12 in the bore 10, or to provide two centering pins.
In the position shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the locking element 8 designed as a bolt bears against the outer circumference of the actuating pin 11. This is also the position in which the peg-shaped coupling part 6 inserted into the bore 5 is locked, the locking element 8 engaging in the recess 7 on the peg-shaped coupling part 6, which is not shown in the drawings. When the actuating pin 11 is pressed inward against the action of the spring, a recess 18 with a circular arc on the outer circumference of the actuating pin 11 comes to lie in the same plane as the recess 7 on the peg-shaped coupling part 6, so that the locking element 8 then moves into the Ausneh¬ mung 18 can dodge and thus the peg-shaped coupling part 6 is released when the tool 3 is pulled out of the coupling part l 2 to release the coupling connection.
