This would not be possible in a non-stack press arrangement wher the belts must be disposed side by side and so can only print in individual columns. Even though the column locations may be randomized to some extent, there can be no true overlap of print area in such an arrangement.
  • the embodiment of Figure 10 gives the advantage of allowing larger multiples the basic pitch value to be employed with the endless belts than with the cylinders.
  • Thi is due to the fact that the size of the cylinders is a limiting factor, while a belt may be entwined about a plurality of rollers if desired to reduce the amount of space required, thus allowing longer belts. Accordingly, much larger numbers of revolutions will be necessary before a pattern repeats itself.

Abstract

Appareil d'impression de tables de nombres quasi aléatoires (tels que définis dans l'invention) comprenant une presse d'impression flexographique, au moins deux cylindres d'impression (9, 5, 7), dont au moins deux desdits cylindres (9, 5, 7) d'impression de tables ont des circonférences différentes, la circonférence de chaque cylindre étant un multiple d'une valeur de pas de base, chaque cylindre (9, 5, 7) d'impression de table étant agencé pour imprimer une ou plusieurs rangées de colonnes de nombres imprimés par les autres cylindres d'impression de tables. La circonférence de chaque cylindre est de préférence déterminée par la valeur de pas de base multipliée par un nombre premier. Dans un mode de réalisation de l'invention lesdits cylindres (9, 5, 7) d'impression de tables comprennent une paire de cylindres (9, 5, 7) d'impression de tables ayant des circonférences différentes, chacun des cylindres de la paire de cylindres (9, 5, 7) d'impression de tables étant agencé pour imprimer une pluralité de rangées de nombres, les nombres contenus dans chaque rangée étant espacés de ceux de la paire de cylindres d'impression de tables.
