- SUBSTITUTE SHEET In this invention we have corner bars and cross bars to make the basic structure. Same cross bars are used here for both depth and width. Then the sides, top and bottom can be covered with standard panel covers, and the doors or the opening sides can be had as wished either in front or on sides or in the back etc. Such panels too need not necessarily be of full size but can be modularly built up of such end panels.

- Fittings can be attached to mounting plates in any position and at any height within the modular system giving a perfect 3 - D ability and 3 - D exapndability. While a preferred embodiment is shown in Figure 6, this invention is not confined to same only.
- Various other slots, shapes, dimensions, etc. are quire possible yet retaining the basic modular concept.
- Cross bars and corner bars too could be made with various other embodiments of slots, fixing arrangements, shapes, profiles, etc., yet having dimensions in such a manner to retain the real modular concept of multiples of the basic module formed at a corner by a corner bar and two cross bars.
- the basic modular dimension of 25 mm is preferred for many applications, but is not essential, as this would lead to the multiples being of convenient dimensions such as 100 mm, 200 mm, 500 mm, etc.
- the actual dimensions within the modular concept should however be selected to best suit the conditions of application. While the diagrams show the basic principle and concept and one preferred embodiment, it is quite possible to have this invention practised with minor changes such as variations of profiles, shapes, and sizes, etc., yet retaining and/or basically utilising the same concept.
- control panels and the cabinets for electrical switch gear is one of the common uses of such a Technomodule system, it can be used for various other applications such as cupboards, file benches, exhibition cabinets etc.
- SUBSTITUTl ⁇ HEET While common applications may be of steel constrcutions same can be extended to constructions with any other material as long as sufficient strength and other requirements are satisfied.
- Components as per this system can be made at various parts of the world and distributed to panel builders or users anywhere else. This has the further advantage of very compact packaging of components compared to size of the panel that is assembled of the same and thus a drastic reduction in freight costs.
- This Technomodule can be further improved by having incorporated in their doors a rubber or a suitable gasketting material profile or bead ⁇ ing with a groove which is fitting exactly into the edge of the bent metal and so shaped to exactly accommodate the profile instead of another steel piece or strip spot welded and/or embedded into the rubber bead ⁇ ing.
