Abstract

L'essuie-glace comprend un balai (2) du type habituel, dont le bras de support (3) est fixé sur un chariot coulissant mobile (6) pouvant accomplir un mouvement de va-et-vient sur un guide de coulissement (7) disposé à proximité d'un des côtés du périmètre, de préférence le côté inférieur, du pare-brise (8) ou de la lunette arrière du véhicule. Le chariot coulissant (6) est entraîné par une courroie d'entraînement (12) montée sur des poulies (13) et qui se déplace uniquement dans un sens. Le changement du sens de coulissement du chariot (6) est obtenu à l'aide d'un organe (15) reliant le chariot (6) à la courroie (12) et comprenant un rouleau (16) qui est libre de coulisser à l'intérieur d'une ouverture allongée (17) aménagée sur le chariot (6), lorsque ce dernier arrive en une position proche des poulies (13). Le mouvement du balai (2) sur le verre (8) du pare-brise consiste en un déplacement linéaire sur presque toute la surface du verre (8).
