Abstract

Il est possible de contrôler l'authenticité de billets de banque en utilisant un appareil examinant les propriétés du billet qui sont semblables dans différentes orientations spatiales. En particulier, toute la zone superficielle d'au moins un côté d'un billet de banque (1) peut être soumise à une analyse spectrale, utilisant une irradiation lumineuse réfléchie par le billet ou transmise à travers celui-ci. L'irradiation reçue peut être intégrée sur toute la zone superficielle avant d'être comparée, au moyen d'un système à base de microprocesseurs (6), aux modèles spectraux stockés correspondant aux différents types de billets de banque. On peut utiliser un algorithme capable d'admettre des déviations dues par exemple à une détérioration du billet de banque.
