Description
Sur la fig.8 la boucle 1 est reliée, conformément à une troisième variante, à un bidon 30 pourvu à sa base d'un alésage fileté 31, par l'intermédiaire d'un organe à fonction de robinet 21 analogue à celui décrit à la figure précédente et par un tuyau souple 32 pourvu à chacune de ses extrémités de deux raccords femelles taraudés pouvant se visser, l'un 35 sur l'ajutage fileté 23 (fig.7) de l'organe 21, et l'autre 33 sur l'ajutage 31 du bidon des gaines34 en forme de ressorts hélicoldaux sont engagées dans les raccords 33 et 35 pour éviter un repli brusque du tuyau 32 au voisinage des raccords;
PERFECTED DEVICE FOR THE ORAL ADMINISTRATION OF A TREATMENT LIQUID TO ANIMALS other treatment options. Such devices are known in particular from the patents DE-C-662,740 (MESSLER), DE-C-246,041 (LAPPAT), DE-C-372,798 (KELLER) which describe jaw-shaped devices in which the liquid flows by gravity, and by patents US-A-4,050,460 (MAGRATH) and FR-A 2,434,613 (BEGOUEN) in which the liquid flows under manual pressure, it is finally known by a French patent application nO 80 /17143 (BEGOUEN) another device implementing on the one hand a container with flexible walls with a "pear" function and on the other hand, a hollow trapezoidal loop forming a flow conduit. The subject of the present invention is improvements to this latter device, the purpose of these improvements being, on the one hand, to provide a buckle better adapted to the morphology of the animals treated so as to allow better positioning in the mouth of the animal. , on the other hand to propose several solutions adapted to different cases to cause the flow of the liquid in the loop. Another object of the present invention is to provide a valve whose design allows the manufacture of the supply device from two halves each resulting from a single molding operation (injection, blow molding, combination of these two >: forms of molding) and this in order to substantially lower the cost of the device while making it even more robust and easier to handle. According to the present invention a device intended for administering liquid substances to animals, said device comprising a loop intended to enclose the upper jaw and the nose of the animal, said loop serving as a conduit for said liquid substance and being provided with a flexible nozzle intended to direct the jet of liquid in the direction of the back of the animal's throat, said loop being intended to be in relation with a reserve of said liquid substance, said loop further having a continuous interior space, forming a conduit in view of allowing the flow of the solution from the reserve to the said nozzle, is generally characterized in that the said loop has a general triangular shape close to the equilateral triangle, the angles adjacent to the side of the triangle comprising the said nozzle, being rounded corners of fairly large radius. It results from this new conformation of the loop that this one can be tightened very firmly on the nose of the animal by the fact of a traction tending to engage the loop in the bottom of the mouth it also results from it that this Firm tightening can be produced without making the animal suffer, in particular at the corners of the lips. According to a preferred embodiment, the loop is a one-piece piece comprising a cylindrical bulge at its apex opposite the side of the nozzle, said bulge comprising a threaded bore intended to receive a coupling with two threaded male nozzles, said coupling comprising a socket at hexagonal in its middle part. The coupling with two threaded male nozzles can, according to different embodiments, either be attached to the stopper of a bottle (first variant), or screwed into a valve-function member, itself attached to a bottle stopper ( second variant) or connected to a flexible pipe (third variant). The advantage of this conformation results from the fact that, the loop being made of plastic material, the bulge constitutes a robust base for screwing the connection. Still according to the present invention, a valve intended for a device for administering liquid substances to animals, said device being of the type comprising a reserve of substance and a loop of trapezoidal shape intended to be held by a hand which must be able at the same handle the valve, is generally characterized in that it consists of a tubular part with an axial conduit, said tubular part comprising about its middle a chamber of generally prismatic shape with two end faces perpendicular to the said conduit, said chamber opening outside of said conduit by at least one light of prismatic shape itself, of a part with a drawer function, said part comprising a hole and having a shape allowing it to be housed in said chamber and to be able to move in it in a plane perpendicular to the duct, the position of the hole being such that in an open position, the hole is in the extension of the duct and in a closed position the hole is offset relative to the duct, and by two flat elastic seals of the same prismatic shape as that of the chamber in which they can be housed, said seals being themselves provided with a hole located on the seal in such a way that they located in the extension of the duct of the tubular part, the thickness of said seals being such that said part with a drawer function being introduced between them, they are in compression thus ensuring sealing between the two end faces of the chamber and the two opposite sides of the coin. Preferably, the prismatic chamber is a cylindrical chamber, the shape of said part with a drawer function is a shape comprising two circular sectors which can alternately marry one or the other side of the chamber, and the seals are themselves flat cylindrical seals. Preferably, the drawer function part is extended outside the tubular part by a curved finger intended to maneuver it. In addition, the chamber comprises, opposite the first light, a second light intended to house a projecting part with a pivot function of said part with a drawer function. Finally, the tubular part comprises, on either side of said second lumen, recesses intended to house a pin, said pin passing through a pin hole of said pivot. . The present invention will be better understood and relevant details will appear in the description which will be made with these different application variants, in relation to the figures of the appended plates in which - fig.1 is a front view of a loop according to the invention with its threaded connection, - - fig.2 is a profile view of the same, - lafig.3 is a profile representation of a first variant embodiment, - fig.4 is a section of an enlarged part of the previous figure illustrating the attachment of the loop to a bottle by means of its cap, - fig.5 illustrates the mode of use of the device of the invention which is, in the case in point according to the first variant, - fig.6 illustrates in profile a second variant embodiment, partially cut, - fig.7 illustrates in section a valve function member, constituting the second variant , - Fig.8 illustrates a third alternative embodiment of the device of the invention, and - Figs: 9 to 12 illustrate an embodiment of a tap particularly suitable for the device of the invention. In fig.l a loop 1 intended to constitute the main part of a device for administering liquid substances to an animal has the general shape of an equilateral triangle whose angles 2.3 adjacent to the side 4 with jaw function and having a nozzle 5 (5 '), are rounded corners of fairly large radius. On fig.1 and 2 the loop 1 is a single piece having a bulge 6 Doric cylinder at its top opposite the side of the nozzle 5; the bulge 6 itself comprises, axially, a threaded bore intended to receive by screwing a coupling 7 with two threaded male nozzles 7′, 7″; the coupling comprises a hexagonal socket 8 in its middle part. such a loop forms a hollow continuous conduit from the end of the threaded nozzle 7″ to the end of the flexible nozzle 5, 5′. Two variants of execution of the flexible nozzle and its attachment to the buckle are proposed. According to a first embodiment variant (nozzle 5), the nozzle is made from a small rubber tube in which two diametrically opposed longitudinal cutouts have been made, these cutouts allow the end of the tube to surround both sides the side 4 and to be fixed by gluing on it; a collar 51 reinforces the fixing. According to a second alternative embodiment, a rigid and relatively short nozzle 52 is produced during the molding of the buckle and the flexible nozzle 5' is glued around the latter. In fig.3 a manual pressure administration device consists mainly of a loop 1 secured via a stopper 17 to the neck 13 of a bottle with deformable walls 16, and an articulated lever 10 on a collar 11 enclosing the bottle in the vicinity of its end 12 opposite the neck 13; the lever has a bent part 14 intended, under manual effort, to pressurize and deform the wall of said bottle; lever has a total length which extends substantially to the bulge 6 of the loop. Advantageously the lever is provided with a sleeve 15 of flexible material so as to allow it to be moved along the lever and to constitute an extra thickness on the part 14; thanks to the extra thickness provided by the sleeve, the volume moved during an effort on the lever is increased, for example doubled, as is easily understood on close examination of the dotted lines. On fig.4 appears in detail how the loop 1 is secured to the neck 13 of the bottle 16 by means of a cap 17 screwed onto the neck. The plug 17 has an axial hole for the passage of the threaded nozzle 7"; a nut 18 is screwed onto the nozzle and bears, via an elastic washer 19 forming a seal, on the internal face of the bottom 20 of the stopper. It is noted that the washer 19 extends well beyond the nut 18 and extends over practically the entire surface of the bottom 20 in such a way that the end of the neck can take a sealed contact on it, the nut 18 being housed inside the neck. This mode of construction has been described in detail because it gave satisfaction by its robustness with regard to the way in which the device can be used. A way of using the device is illustrated in fig.5; in this figure we see a left hand seizing the head of an animal below its jaws; the right hand holds the device between the thumb on the one hand and the ring finger and the little finger on the other hand on the other hand, while the index and middle fingers are engaged on the lever. From the figure we understand how, the nose of the animal widening from its extremity towards its forehead while the sides of the loop approach each other towards the bulge 6, a pull of the right hand in the direction of the animal's forehead will necessarily lead to a tightening of the side 4 of the loop, with bit function, against the upper jaw of the animal. This very important result comes from the new shape of the loop and results in the ease of use of the device whatever the variant embodiments. In fig.6, an administration device, in accordance with a second alternative embodiment, uses to inject the liquid no longer manual pressure but the phenomenon of gravity. The device shown consists essentially of a loop 1 similar to that of fig.l and 2, a valve function member 21 and a bottle 26 connected via its cap 27 to the member 21. The bottle 26 comprises, at its end opposite the neck, a circular orifice 25 this characteristic appears well thanks to the cutaway representation. A conical plug 29 attached by a tie 29' to the outer wall of the bottle is arranged inside the latter so as to be able, by pulling on the tie, to close said orifice. The member 21, well known in itself and commercially available, is a spherical "turning" valve operable using a handle 24 (fig.6) whose body has the general shape of a nut with hexagonal. Fig.7 illustrates the fact that the body of the member 21 comprises a threaded bore 22 and a threaded nozzle 23 the nozzle 23 is identical to the nozzle 7 "of the connector 7 of the loop, while the threaded bore 22 corresponds by its diameter and its pitch to the 7" nozzle and can receive it by screwing. Thus the member 21 being screwed onto the connector 8, the securing of the loop 1 by means of the member 21 is carried out in a completely analogous way to that shown in fig.3 and 4 In fig. 8 the loop 1 is connected, in accordance with a third variant, to a container 30 provided at its base with a threaded bore 31, by means of a valve function member 21 similar to that described in the preceding figure and by a flexible pipe 32 provided at each of its ends with two threaded female connectors which can be screwed, one 35 on the threaded nozzle 23 (fig.7) of the member 21, and the other 33 on the nozzle 31 of the can of the sheaths34 in the form of helical springs are engaged in the fittings 33 and 35 to prevent a sudden retraction of the pipe 32 in the vicinity of the fittings; shoulder straps 36 make it possible to carry the container 30 on the back. The three variant embodiments described and represented each correspond to a different type of application but have in common the loop and its connection. The first variant (fig.3) is applicable in the case where fairly precise and small doses are administered. The second variant (fig.6) will be used in the case where a small number of doses of a small volume will be administered, the accuracy of the dosage being relatively unimportant. The third variant (fig.8) may be used in cases similar to that of the second variant except that the number of doses administered may be much greater. In fig.9, a device of the invention essentially consists of a reserve 41 of substance, a trapezosdal tubular loop 42 and an intermediate tubular part 43 connecting the loop to the reserve; this intermediate part comprises a valve 44. In fig.10, it appears that the tubular part 44 comprises an axial duct 45 opening into a cylindrical chamber 46 centered on the duct and having two faces 47 and 48 perpendicular to the axis 45. The chamber 46 opens onto the outside via a first slot 48 on one side of the tubular part and a second slot 49 on the other side. Inside the chamber 46 are two seals 50 and 51 in the form of cylindrical washers having a central hole 52 and 53 respectively; between the joints is arranged a part 54 with a drawer function comprising a hole 55. This part further comprises a curved finger 56 engaged in the slot 48 and opposite the finger 56 a projecting part 57 in the slot 49. The shape of the piece 54 is substantially elliptical or better still in the shape of a double circular sector allowing it to marry, by pivoting around the projecting part, the two sides of the chamber 46. The displacement of the part 54 in the chamber 46 authorized by their respective dimensions and by those of the slot 48, is such that the hole 55 of the part can be placed in the extension of the conduit 45 (opening position of the tap or flow) or on the contrary, be offset from it (closed position). It will be noted that by inversion of 1800 of the part forming a drawer on itself, one arrives at the position represented by the dotted line 56 'of fig.10 according to which the passage from the open position to the closed position and vice versa versa is the reverse of that of the previous position; this last position being suitable for a left-handed user for example. It will also be noted that the device, at least in its parts 42 and 43, can advantageously be produced by co'llage along a parting plane, of its two halves. This joint plane is represented by the trace BB of fig.l2 or even substantially by the plane of the board for fig.9 and 11. Thanks to the fact that the seal is achieved by the two joints 50 and 51 compressed l one and the other on the end faces of the chamber and on the faces of the part with a drawer function, it compensates for the fact that the junction of the two halves of the device to the joint plane generally comprises, even very slightly , a slight gap between the two halves. It will be noted that, preferably, the seals 50 and 51 are introduced after the joining of the two halves and that the part 54 is introduced by force between the two seals, preferably by forcing it through the slot 48; this last provision prohibits its spontaneous withdrawal; however, to avoid shrinkage, it is possible to provide for a pin 59 housed in recesses 60 of the back of the intermediate part to pass through a hole 61 of the part 57 with a pivot function. The devices of the invention find their use in all forms of animal husbandry of sizable size, for example from the size of large dogs to the size of cattle and horses.
