Description
Device for air conditioning a combination of motor vehicle driver.
In the current state of the art, a positive heating device is known, according to which the combination comprises ducts opening out inside the combination and in which one circulates, using an air fan. hot from a heater attached to the cooling fins of the engine block. This process is not satisfactory for several reasons:
It cannot be used on a motorcycle because such machines, even of large displacement, do not have a sufficient energy source to supply the electric fan necessary for the circulation of air without reducing the efficiency of the machine.
Furthermore, air heating requires the creation of a heater adapted to the shapes of the engine block or those of the cooling fins and these shapes are very variable from one machine to another.
Finally, the solution consisting in unblocking the. sheaths in the suit is bad because it is quickly put under an overpressure which prevents the circulation of air; this results in the need to use an overpowered fan.
The present invention, which overcomes these drawbacks, is remarkable in that the circulation of air in the ducts is ensured by the depression, created by the carburetor at the level of the air filter, which draws the air conditioning air through the ducts from a collector fixed to the vehicle.
According to another characteristic of the invention, the sheath or sheaths are held between the two walls of a removable lining, which can be fixed in a usual combination. This arrangement allows good heat exchange with the body of the conductor while achieving a very simple duct circuit.
annexés, sur lesquels:Other characteristics will emerge more clearly from the description which follows, made with reference to the drawings. annexed, on which:
La figure 1 est une vue schématique illustrant le dispositif de l'invention ;Figure 1 is a schematic view illustrating the device of the invention;
La figure 2 est une vue en perspective éclatée d'un réchauffeur ;Figure 2 is an exploded perspective view of a heater;
La figure 3 est une vue en coupe du réchauffeur effectuée selon un plan perpendiculaire à l'axe du tuyau d'échappement sur lequel il est fixé;Figure 3 is a sectional view of the heater taken along a plane perpendicular to the axis of the exhaust pipe on which it is fixed;
La figure 4 est une vue schématique d'une doublure de combinaison montrant la disposition des gaines;Figure 4 is a schematic view of a coverall showing the arrangement of the sheaths;
La figure 5 est une vue en coupe effectuée selon la ligne V-V de la figure 4;Figure 5 is a sectional view taken along the line V-V of Figure 4;
Figure 6 is an exploded perspective view showing the connection box of the sheaths of the combination to the fixed pipes.
En se reportant aux dessins, on voit que 1 schématise filtre à air usuel du carburateur de l'engin à l'entrée duqu débouche un embout 2 raccordé à une canalisation souple elle-même raccordée aux gaines souples 4 rendues solidaires de la combinaison (non représentée).Referring to the drawings, it can be seen that 1 diagrams the usual air filter of the carburetor of the machine at the inlet which opens a nozzle 2 connected to a flexible pipe itself connected to the flexible sheaths 4 made integral with the combination (not shown).
At their other end, the ducts 4 are connected to a flexible pipe 5, connected at its other end to an air manifold fixed to the vehicle.
In the example shown and since it is desired to send hot air into the pipe 5, the latter is connected to a heater 6 surrounding for example the exhaust pipe 7. According to one embodiment, the heater 6 consists of two parts 8 and 9; that 9 being constituted by a case having, on two opposite faces, wide notches 10 for passage of the pipe 7 on which it is fixed while that 8 constitutes a cover fixing on the first and having louvers 11 inlet of the air to be heated and a nozzle 12 connected to the pipe 5 for the departure of the heated air.
Le maintien du couvercle 8 est assuré par des vis 15 ( figure 1).Part 9 of the heater internally has two pairs of curved tabs 13 making it possible to center 1 said part on the pipe 7 and to fix it on the latter by collars 14 (Figure 3). The cover 8 is maintained by screws 15 (Figure 1).
Naturally, to promote the heat exchange between the pipe 7 and the air which enters. the heater 6 through the vents 11, said heater is filled with stainless steel straw.
As shown in Figures 1 to 6.1e connection of flexible sheaths 4 of the combination to pipes 3 and 5 is provided by a two-part housing 16 and 17 which can be easily separated.
According to another characteristic of the invention, the flexible sheaths 4 are held between the two walls 18a and 18b of a lining 18 which can be fixed in a removable manner inside a usual combination. For this purpose, various devices can be used: snaps, zippers. or self-stapling strips. In this way, a better distribution of the heat is obtained over the whole body and the loss is reduced due to the layer of air necessarily remaining between the lining and the suit. As shown in FIG. 4, the air conditioning of the combination is obtained by means of two ducts 4 making soft circuits, respectively for the left side and for the right side, having substantially the same length.
In the case of FIG. 1, the axis of the nozzle 2 extends perpendicular to the direction of the entry of air into the filter but for reasons of convenience, this nozzle can extend parallel to said direction. In this case, it will be necessary to provide an opening 19 on the part of the end piece extending outside said filter. In both cases, 1 Opening 19 may have a variable cross-section to allow the value of the vacuum, therefore the speed of air circulation in the ducts and therefore the temperature, to be adjusted. For this purpose, it is possible to mount on the end piece 2 a split collar (not shown) capable by its rotation of more or less closing the opening 19. Naturally, it is possible, using the device which has been described to cool the suit. For this purpose, it suffices to allow cold air to enter the pipe 5 which would then be connected to the inlet of a socket . usual air from vehicle. In the case of a motorcycle, such an air intake can be very easily created by using for example a manifold, in the form of a funnel, connected to an opening provided in the grille.
Of course, the present invention is not limited to the embodiment described and shown but extends, on the contrary, to all variants of shapes, materials and dimensions.
Thus, among other things, the device of the invention can be used on jackets or pants.
