  • the main use of the trough-like collar of the present invention is, in case of fire in the fuel reservoir, to maintain the. upper reservoir plate in direct contact with the cold water stored therein, thus avoiding higher temperature elevations.
  • Another useful application of the present invention is in the daily handling of fuel into the reservoir. Since the fuel to be stored in the reservoir most of the times arrives in a hot state, a ready cooling thereof caused by the water in the trough diminishes the fuel losses resulting from evaporation.

Abstract

Un collier en forme d'auge (2) appliqué sur la bordure externe supérieure d'un réservoir de carburant (1) pour son refroidissement est formé par un organe en forme de plaque qui est fabriqué pour entourer la partie supérieure du réservoir de carburant (1) en formant un anneau. L'organe en plaque est riveté ou soudé au niveau de sa partie inférieure sur la paroi du réservoir et se projette à partir de cette dernière jusqu'à sa partie supérieure formant ainsi un espace vide pouvant être rempli d'eau.
