Abstract

Playing equipment for children, consisting of a ropeway (34-36) arranged between two structures (32 and 33). With a view to ensuring soft stopping and braking of the ropeway trolley (36) at the anchorage points (35) of the ropeway support line (34) these anchorage points are, according to the invention, situated at the same level and at the anchorage points the support line may pass through shock-absorbing car tyres (39), which may be rejects. Also the ropeway trolley itself may consist of a car tyre (36) through which passes the support line and in which the ropeway trolley runner (44) rolling along the support line is mounted.

Description

ROPEWAY PLAYING EQUIPMENT FOR CHILDREN
The present invention relates to playing equipment for children whereby a ropeway is arranged between two structures consisting of fixed posts or posts capable of being erected on the ground. The object of the invention consists in providing an arrangement which will prevent a person riding in the ropeway trolley from landing at the other anchorage point of the ropeway with excessive speed and ensure that at that point the trolley is braked promptly. The invention is described in detail below with reference to the attached drawings in which
Fig. 1 shows a ropeway arranged between two structures 3-2 -and 33 Fig. 2 is a side view and
Fig. 3 is a view from above and in larger scale of a holder for the runner of a ropeway trolley forming part of the ropeway. According to the invention the anchorage points 35 of the ropeway support line 34 are situated on both structures 32 and 33 at the same level. Apart from the friction losses, a person riding in trolley 36 of the ropeway will land at one anchorage point of the support line at the same speed at which he left the other anchorage point of the support line. He can, accordingly, in large measure himself determine the speed of arrival at the former anchorage point by pushing off in a suitable manner from one of the platforms 37 located at different heights of the structure from which he starts. An inclined ramp 38 leads to the lower one of these platforms, and a similar ramp is provided at the other structure.
In addition, it is possible to brake the ropeway trolley 36 softly by means of a car tyre 39 through which the support line 37 passes at the anchorage points.
The ropeway trolley may consist of a vertical car tyre 36 through the diameter of which passes the support line 34. In the upper part of the car tyre is inserted a holder 40 for the runner 44 of the ropeway trolley, whereby the said holder consists of plates and is shown in larger scale in figs. 2 and 3. Holes 41 at either end of the holder are provided for fixing bolts not shown in the drawings, by means of which the holder is fixed to the sides of the car tyre 36 indicated by broken lines. 42 are holes for the spindles of runners 44, which are also marked by broken lines and roll along the support line. Of course, the car tyre 36 contributes to soft braking of the ropeway trolley at the anchorage points 35 for the support line. Under car tyre 36 another car tyre 43 may be suspended, in which a riding child may sit or to which it may cling.
