Abstract

La presente invención proporciona un procedimiento de potenciación de la productividad de una planta mediante la modificación genética del genoma de la planta para que sobreexprese al menos una proteína relacionada con la autofagia (ATG) seleccionada del grupo que consiste en ATG5 y ATG7. La invención proporciona además una planta modificada genéticamente que se caracteriza por la sobreexpresión de al menos una proteína relacionada con la autofagia (ATG) seleccionada del grupo que consiste en ATG5 y ATG7. Además, se desvela el uso de un transgén que codifica al menos una proteína relacionada con la autofagia (ATG) seleccionada del grupo que consiste en ATG5 y ATG7 para potenciar la productividad de una planta.
