Abstract

Se divulgan métodos para preparar una planta, célula vegetal o parte de planta con un mayor contenido de una o más proteínas, aceites o uno o más aminoácidos con respecto a una planta de tipo silvestre. Las plantas transgénicas incluyen una molécula de ácido nucleico que codifica un polipéptido con actividad de piruvato quinasa y una molécula de ácido nucleico que codifica un homólogo de trehalosa-6- fosfato sintasa (TPS); casetes de expresión, constructos recombinantes, vectores y plantas, células vegetales o partes de plantas que pueden ser útiles para preparar productos alimenticios, y para usar en programas de reproducción de plantas.
