Abstract
La presente invención proporciona un método para tratar material fibroso que contiene lignina para reducir su susceptibilidad al amarilleo, que comprende estabilizar la lignina del material con un agente oxidante capaz de oxidar grupos fenólicos o similares, que puede sufrir reacciones conducentes a la formación de sitios coloreados en las fibras, y tratar el material con un agente blanqueador fluorecentes. La presente invención proporciona asimismo un material que contiene lignina que se obtiene mediante dicho método.
