Abstract

El objeto de la invención es un sistema de anestesia que comprende con espectrómetro de masa y en el cual el contenido de al menos un componente gaseoso en el gas de la ventilación, gas exhalado o gas que contiene gas anestésico reciclado se mide con la ayuda de un espectrómetro de masa y los valores medidos se usan para controlar automáticamente el sistema de anestesia. Este sistema permite la medición cuantitativa simultánea de los componentes gaseosos oxígeno, gas anestésico y nitrógeno. El espectrómetro de masa controla una unidad de seguridad. El mismo se conecta vía uno o más capilares a uno o más puntos de medición, y la longitud de los capilares está en el rango de 1 a 10 metros. Los capilares consisten en plástico, metal o vidrio. El espectrómetro se integra a una máquina anestésica, está adjunto en forma de mochila a una máquina anestésica, o está separado espacialmente de la misma. Se emplea xenón como gas anestésico y la recuperación del xenón del gas exhalado se monitorea o controla automáticamente por el espectrómetro.
