Abstract

Una sonda ultrasónica utilizada en un sistema de telemetría ultrasónica para determinar el volumen del fluido y/o fugas del fluido en un tanque de almacenamiento subterráneo, así como el monitoreo del inventario del fluido, es provista la cual esta caracterizada por: - Reflectores de calibración posicionados en donde cada uno de los paquetes de eco secundario formados por los reflectores de la sonda ultrasónica se encajan dentro del flanco de un paquete de eco primario de otro reflector de calibración o para causar que su paquete de eco secundario sea detectado por el transductor después que el transductor haya detectado un paquete de eco primario asociado con al superficie del fluido. - Cada uno de los reflectores de calibración siendo colocados perpendicular hacia y lateralmente del eje longitudinal del cuerpo de la sonda. - Un miembro amortiguador de onda de sonido ultrasónico colocado firmemente en el cuerpo de la sonda entre el montaje del transductor y el fondo del tanque.
