EN LA INVENCION SE DA A CONOCER UN PROCEDIMIENTO PARA LA PRUEBA NO DESTRUCTIVA DE RUEDAS DE FERROCARRIL POR MEDIO DE ULTRASONIDOS A FIN DE DETECTAR FISURAS EN LA ZONA DE LA SUPERFICIE PERIMETRICA DE LA RUEDA. LA RUEDA SE CONECTA CON UN LUGAR DE LA SUPERFICIE PERIMETRICA A PARTIR DE UN IMPULSO DE ULTRASONIDOS CONFIGURADO COMO ONDA RAYLEIG EN LA PIEZA DE TRABAJO CON UNA PRIMERA FRECUENCIA, CUYO ECO TIENE COMO RESULTADO UN ECO DE FALLO EN LA FISURA, QUE SE REGISTRA Y SE VALORA. EN ESTA PRUEBA DE ULTRASONIDOS CONOCIDA NO ES POSIBLE LA DETERMINACION DE LA PROFUNDIDAD DE LA FISURA DETERMINADA. DE ACUERDO CON LA INVENCION DEBE APROVECHARSE EL HECHO DE QUE LA PROFUNDIDAD DE PENETRACION DE LAS ONDAS RAYLEIG DEPENDE DE LA FRECUENCIA DE LA ONDA. SE PROPONE POR TANTO QUE EN LA ZONA DE LA SUPERFICIE PERIMETRICA DE LA RUEDA SE CONECTE AL MENOS UN OTRO IMPULSO DE ULTRASONIDOS QUE CONFIGURA UNA ONDA RAYLEIG EN LA PIEZA DE TRABAJO CON FRECUENCIA DIFERENTE DE LA PRIMERA, CON LO CUAL EL ECO DE FALLO GENERADOPOR LA SUPERFICIE DE LA FISURA SE RECIBE COMO ENERGIA DE RETORNO DE RADIACION Y DE MODO QUE LA RELACION RESPECTIVA DE ESTA ENERGIA SE CONFIGURA EN LA FISURA. EL VALOR NUMERICO DE ESTA RELACION SE UTILIZA BAJO BASE DE APOYO DE LA FRECUENCIA UTILIZADA COMO VALOR DE DETERMINACION.
