Abstract
La invención se refiere a la producción de artículos de hidrogel conformado que incluyen lentes de contacto blandos, y mas particularmente a un método para moldear de forma directa dichos artículos utilizando una nueva clase de diluyentes inertes desplazables. Un procedimiento para producir artículos de gel conformado tales como lentes de contacto blandos caracterizados por que comprende los pasos de: 1- moldear o colar una mezcla de polimerización que contiene: a- una mezcla de monómeros que comprende una gran proporción de uno o más monómeros hidrofilicos y uno o más monómeros de entrelazamiento; y b- un diluyente inerte, desplazable, no acuoso que se selecciona a partir de grupo que consiste de: 1- glucósido da alquilo etoxilado; 2- bisfenol A etoxilado; 3- polietilenglicol; 4- mezcla de glucosidos etoxilado y propoxilado 5- una mezcla de una sola fase de glucosido etoxilado o propoxilado y alcohol dihidrico de hasta 12 átomos de carbono; 6- un aducto de E-caprolactona y alcanodioles y trioles 7- alcanotriol de etoxilado; y 8- mezclas de uno o más de 1 a 7 bajo condiciones para polimerizar dicha mezcla de monómeros para producir un gel conformado de un copolimero de dichos monómeros y dicho diluyente; y 2- reemplazar después de ello a dicho diluyente con agua, a condición de que dicho diluyente inerte, desplazable, no acuoso se seleccione de tal manera que cuando dicha mezcla de polimerización se polimerice en un calorímetro de escudriñamiento foto diferencial, donde dicha polimerización se induce mediante radiación ultravioleta, el tiempo hacia la exotermia máxima es entre 0,2 y 3,5min.
