DESIGN FOR INKSTANDS.

Specification forming part of Design No. 9,584, dated October 10, 1876; application led September 16, 1876.

[Term of Patent 7 years] To all whom it may concern.-

Be it known that I, HERMANN J. MLLER, of the eity of New York, in the county and State of New York, have invented a Design for Inkstands, of which the following is a specification The nature of my design is fully represented in the accompanying drawing, to which referenee is made, and in which- Figure l is a side, and Fig. 2 a plan, view representing my said design.

A represents a central socket, which receives the ink reservoir or vessel B. At opposite sides of this is the representation, C, of a ower, laterally from which extend lanceelate leaves D, from which latter, around the two remaining sides of the vessel B, extend other laneeolate leaves, E, these latter, at the two sides last mentioned of the stand, reaching each other, as shown at a.

The flowers C, while adding somewhat to the elegance of the design, l do not consider as essential thereto.

It is to be understood that my said design is to be formed in bronze or other suitable metal or hard material.

What 1 claim as my invention is- The design for an inkstand comprising the laneeolate leaves D, extending laterally at the two opposite sides of the stand, and the other lanceolate leaves, E, extending across the two other opposite sides of said stand, substantially in the manner above described.
