Patented Sept. 22,1874.
UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
GEORGE F. MEAGHAM, OF NEWTON, ASSIGXOR TO JAMES W. TUFTS, OF
MEDFORD, MASSAUHUSETTS.
DESIGN FOR CASING Ol A SODA-WATER APPARATUS.
Specification forming part of Design No. 7,771, dated September 22, 1874 application filed September 3,1874. [Term of Patent 14 years] To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, GEORGE F. Mei-loam, of Newton, in the county of Middlesex and State of Massachusetts, have invented and produced a new and original Design for the Casing of a Soda-VVater Apparatus, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the'acoompanyin g photograph making part of this specification.
1n the photograph, A represents the lower or main portion of the casing of a soda-water apparatus, which is of rectangular form. From the center of the portion A rises a rectangular portion or tower, O, which is surmounted by a top, D, from the center of each of the four sides of which rises an ornamental projection, b. At each corner of the top is a statue, 6; but these statues may be replaced by vases or other ornaments, or dispensed with altogether, if desired. In the front side of the casing, near its center, is a large circular panel, at. Extending from the Wall 0 of the portion A to the wall f of the portion 0, on each side of the apparatus, is an incline, 9, beyond the surface of which extend the arched portions h of the front and rear walls of the casing, the lower corners of which project out from the end walls 6 in an ornamental form, as seen at i, a unique and ornamental design being thus produced.
WVha-t I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
1. The design for the casing of a soda water apparatus, substantially as herein shown and described.
2. In combination with the casing of a sodawater apparatus, the design of the ornamental top 1), as shown.
Witness my hand this 29th day of August, A. D. 1874.
. GEO. F. MEAGHAM.
In presence of- P. E, TESOHEMACHER, O. E. SARGENT.
