UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
GEORGE 1 MEAUHAM, OF NENTON, ASSIGNOR TO JAMES W. Tl'FTS, OF MEDFORD, MASSACHUSETTS.
DESIGN FOR THE CASlNG FOR SODA-WATER APPARATUS.
Specification forming part of Pesign No. 6,690, dated May 27, N73; application filed May 15, 1873.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, GEORGE F. MEACI-IAM, of Newton, in the county of Middiesex and State of Massachusetts, have invented and produced a new and original Design for the (lasing of a- Soda-W'ater Apparatus, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying photograph making part of this specitication.
This invention consists in an ornamental design for the casing of a soda-water apparatus, to be placed against a wa1l,the operator standing in front of the apparatus.
In the photograph, A represents the base orlower portion of the casing of the apparatus, which is of oblong form. The portion B i of the front slopes or inclines inward and upward from the base A to the cornice I), while the upper portion 0 of the front also slopes or inclines inward and upward from the cornice b to the back D, which is provided with an ornamental top and rises vertically from the base A. This back D is intended to be placed against the wall of the apartment, the operator standing in front of the apparatus, and between itand the counter. The sidesE rise vertically from the base A, and their front surfaces or edges, which are made ornamental, slope so as to conform, or nearly conform to the inclination of the front of the casing. At a point midway between the sides E and resting on the base in front of the portion B is an ornamental projection, G, the design thus produced being unique and ornamental.
\Vhat I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-- The design for the casing of a soda-water apparatus, substantially as herein shown and described.
