Be it known. that I, ELBRIDGE J. STEELE, of New Haven, in the county of New Haven and State of Connecticut, have invented a new Design for Door-Hinge; and l do hereby declare the following, when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings and the letters of reference marked thereon, to be a full, clear, and exact description ot' the saine, and which said drawings constitute part of this specification, and represent, in-

This invention relates to a design for hinges for doors, commonly called butt-hinges;" and the design consists in the ornamentation of the faces of the leaves and the forni ofthe tips, as shown in the accompanying illustration, and hereinafter described.
First, the border around the edge of each leaf is of Grecian-key pattern in relief, and inside a plain edge, as shown in Fig. l. Second, the panel or space Within the border. The
edge of the panel is composed of lines parallel, the sides straight, the ends seinicirenlar, the center a combination of' Grecian-key work, as shown in Fig. l. Third, the rear face is a slinken panel, ornalnented with Grecian-key work center and traeery therefrom toward each end, as shown in Fig. 2. The tip extending froni the pintle contracts to a neck, then snddenlycnlargcs to the bod)Y ot pyramidal forni, and terminates in a conical tip.
