The nature of nl design is fullyV represented in the accompanying printed illustration, to which reference is illude.
The distinctive ehnrneter of my alphabet is evident in the general :ippenrznlee nud proportions ot.' both the enpitnls und sinnll letters, for the smell lines, nl though snnillt'orthe size ofthe letter, are larger tlnul the eonnnon Roman line, und nearly ull ot' the str-night ports of the letters nire curved upon eneh side, being nnrrowest et their center, and gradually widen @eeh wny to the eeriphs, the enrred side lines beeolnin g' Sharper each way from the center till they forni the inner lines of the eeriphs. These eer iphs nre nnide snnxll und have their ends lie\' eled, eonverging outward, and ull the terminations lare lalso beveled in like ninnner. The hook ot' the L, and siinilnr parts ot' other let ters, is also formed with strnight lines both outside :1nd inside, :1nd n snnill ongle or point is added to the circuler terininntiou oli' the .l und snnlll f, :1nd other silnilnr parts. These peeulinr t'eati'lres ot' my alphabet oi' letters dis tinguish it from either the l-ionntu or nntioue.
