DESIGN FOR DRAWER-PULL.
Specification forming part of Design No. 5,762, dated April 9, 1872.
Specification describing a Design for a Drawer-Pull, invented by JOHN M. MARIS, of the city and county of Philadelphia, State of Pennsylvania.
In the accompanying drawing, Figure 1 is a front View; Fig. 2, an end view; and Fig. 3, an inverted plan View of a drawer-pull made in accordance with my design.
The drawer-pull is plain and fiat at the back, as shown at 01, Figs. 2 and 3, has an inclined front, I), and is formed with a screw-hole, d, at each end. The tdp and bottom 6 and f of the drawer-pull are formed on curved lines, as shown, and the ends g g are partly straight and partly curved, and are rounded at the bottom into two scroll-like projections, h h, which are curved outward and inward, and rounded into the curved bottom f of the body of the drawerpull, in the manner plainly shown in the drawing, so as to form convenient handles, beneath which the fingers can be inserted in opening or closing the drawer to which the pull is attached. In the inclined front I) of the pull is a curved opening, 7c, through which can be exposed to view a label or placard contained within a recess formed for its reception at the back of the pull.
