Be it known that I, JAMES M. LEWIS, a citizen of the United States, residing at Coraopolis, in the county of Allegheny and State of Pennsylvania, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for Shades, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof, in which- Figure 1 is a side elevation of a shade embodying the design, and Fig. 2 a plan view thereof.
This invention relates to a new, original and ornamental design for shades for illuminating appliances such as electric, gas and candle lights, chandeliers, table lamps, Wall brackets, candelabra, and lighting fixtures generally.
The present invention therefore as shown by the drawings involves in a unitary structure an elongated candle-like hollow body portion 1, flared outwardly at its upper end as at 2, and surmounted by a relatively enlarged translucent shade 3, thus forming in its entirety a hollow bulbous article of manufacture as and for the purposes indicated.
