CHARLES W. LANDAUER, 0F GRAND RAPIDS, MICHIGAN.
DESIGN FOR A BASE FOR SPRING-LATCH DEVICES.
Specification for Design.
Patented Oct. 20, 1914.
Application filed April 27, 1914. Serial No. 834,846. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, CHARLES W. LANDAUER, a citizen of the United States, residing at Grand Rapids, in the county of Kent and State of Michigan, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for a Base for Spring-Latch Devices, of which the following is a specification, which, taken in connection with the accompanying drawing, fully discloses the essential features of the said design.
In the drawing, Figure 1 is a perspective view of the base and showing the design 'a. partial cylinder within which the spring used with such bases when the latch arm is applied thereto may be received and concealed.
It is the main and essential characteristic or feature of this design that the base have its vertical member closed at each end, concealing all mechanism placed within the said member and presenting a pleasing appearance without disclosing edges and interior construction as heretofore.
What I claim is,-
The ornamental design for a base for spring latch devices comprised of a central member having spaced apart sides and inclosing ends, one end being rounded and enlarged to form a partial cylindrical member,
and attaching ears extending to either side of the central member, as shown and described. v
In testimony whereof, I have hereunto affixed my signature in the presence of tWo witnesses.
CHARLES W. LANDAUER.
Witnesses:
