VDD.
DESIGN FOB A TABLE-CASTER.
The Schedule referred to in these Lettera Patent and making part of the same *44o-Q l j We, DANIEL SHERWooD and Geenen D. DUDLEY, of the city of Lowell, in county of Middlesex and State of Massachusetts, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Table-(laster, of which the following is aspeeication.
The nature of our design is fully represented. in the accompanying I illotographic illustration, to which reference is made.
General Description.
The frame of the caster is composed, mainly, of two wires, ot' the required size and length, twisted together, so as to form the ontercaster-ring A and handle, when it diverges at C, to form the legs or feet. Additional wires are laid on at the junction of the legs and handle at O, and twisted together, so as to keep the legs of proper size, or the legs may he wound withwirc, if desired.
The bottle-rings I) are made of twisted wire, and bent in circular shape.
The rings and legs are united together by a tinplate center-piece, which is pressed out by dies of the proper shape, and is also provided with ears or straps, which clasp the rings. The legs are inserted in belles in the plate the desired distance before they are bent outward to Atheir proper shape, as shown.
There are ornamental pieces or msettes, e, placed over'the legs, as shown in the drawing, which may be), held to the legs in any known way. l,
Within the outer ring A is another ring, a, which may be of wire, wound upon a ring, and the periphery may be. `grooved, so as to be held by the ring A.
The whole is then dipped in molten metal, and thereby soldered and tinned at one operation.
l A table-caster thns made is highly ornan'iental in appearance.
It will he obvious that the caster may be made for any number of bottles, say three or five, and still retain the same general appearance, and we intend to` make th'em for a greater or lesser number' of' bottles, as the market may demand. y
, Claim.
\Ve claim as our inventiony The design for a table-caster, substantially as shown in'the accompanying photographic drawing.
