ROBERT H. JEFEORD, OF NEW YORK, N. Y., ASSIGNOR TO ABRAHAM Gahk JENNINGS, OE SAME PLACE.
Design No. 4,228, dated July 19, 1870.
Y DESIGN PoR A NET FABRIC'.
The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the same,
To all whom it may oon-cern:
Be it known that I, ROBERT H. Jnrronn, of the city of New York, in the county and State of New York, have invented a new and original Design for Net Fabric; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof', which will enable others skilled in the art to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawing forming part of this specieation.
The drawing represents a diagram of my improved net fabric, the design being shown complete in the lower left-hand corner thereof.
This invention relates to a new design for net-fabries used for ladies head-gear and other purposes, and consists in a novel disposition of rhombic or square and rhomhoidal figures.
The threads of the net-work are arranged so as to fornbaternate rows of' square and rholnbie fields a a an The squares and rhombs touch each other at the angles, as shown, and form straight rows.
The rhornbuses are subdivided into rhomboids, and form zigzag rows, as shown.
The several rhomboids of each row are separated from each other by pillars, o, which are always of double length, reaching into two rows of' rhomboids.
Threads or pillars, d d, may be arranged within the rhomboids, for dividing each into two parts, as shown in the lower part of the drawing. Such threads or pillars d may, however, be omitted.
I claim as my invention- The design for net-fabric, aslshown.
ROBERT H. JEFFORD.
