DESiGN FOR A BOOK-COVER SPEGZFIOATION forming part of Design No. 36,192, dated January 20, 903.
Application filed October 2'7, 1902. Serial No. 129.054 Term of patent '7 years.
To oZZ whom it may concern:
Be it known that 1', WILLIAM M. RHOADS, a citizen of the United States of America, residing at Denver, in the county of Arapahoe and State of Colorado, have invented and produced a new, original, and ornamental Design for a Book-Cover; and I do declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, which forms a part of this specification.
My invention relates to a design for a bookcover, and it will be readily understood by reference to the accompanying drawing.
As shown in the View, the leading 01' material feature of my design consists of the denble presentation of the head of a burro or donkey, the two heads being connected in the center and turned slightly away from each other, whereby when the design is applied to a book-cover each head will form the design for one lid of the book. The upper edge of each lid of the cover is shaped to conform to the shape of the upper portion or the head and ears of the animal, while the front edge of each lid is shaped to conform to the contour of the front of the head and face. The lower front edge of the lid is rounded to conform to the shape of the bnrros nose.
Having thus described my invention, What I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
