/ DESIGN FOR A VEHICLE-BODY.

To all whom it may concern.-

Be it known that I, BERNHARD O.WALTER, a citizen of the United States, residing at Norfolk, in the county of Madison and State of Nebraska, have invented an dproduced a new and original Design for a Vehicle-Body, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof.

The accompanying drawing represents a perspective view of a vehicle-body, showing the new design.

As shown in the drawing, the design consists in a vehicle-body of rectangular shape, having parallel sides connected by front and end panels and provided with upstanding risers supporting the seat, with guards or rails extending around three sides of the seat, the design also comprising an upwardly-extending dashboard at the front of the body, all of open-work configuration, as shown.

By reference to the drawing it will be seen that the body comprises an imperforate floor or bottom A, having upstanding side and end panels B, O, and 1), while at the front of the body there is arranged a dashboard E, which extends upward from the front panel C and forms an extension thereof. Extending upward from the top edges of the side panels B are risers G, having downwardly-diverging and curved opposite edges. Arranged upon the risers Gris a seat F, and extending downward from the forward edge of the seat is a vertical transverse panel I-I. Inter-posed between the lower surface of the seat F and the bottom of the vehicle-body is a series of posts or standards I, arranged one at or near each corner of the seat and adjacent to the side panel B. Extending around the opposite sides and the back of the seat F is a rail composed of panels J and K, having an upward and outward flare, as clearly shown in the drawing.

Each and every part of the vehicle-body, with the single exception of the floor or bottom, is shown as consisting of an open center panel, while such open center is covered with woven canework, the strands of the cane being interlaced or interwoven, so as to intersect each other at various angles, as illus trated at L. Some of the strands extend vertically and others horizontally, while still other strands extend diagonally from right to left and from left to right, intersecting each other as well as the vertical and horizontal strands. An ornamental molding or bead (indicated at M) is extended around the edge of the seat in line with the junction between the risers G and the panels J and K.

Having described the invention, what I claim as new,- and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is

The design for a vehicle-body,- as herein shown and described.
