DESIGN FOR AN ENGINE-CYLINDER HEAD AND CHEST.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 35,540, dated December 31, 1901.

Application filed November 8, 1901- Serial No. 815629. Term of patent 14 years.

To all whom it may concern.-

Be it known that I, RANsoM E. OLDS, a citizen of the United States, residing at Detroit, in the county of Wayne and State of Michigan, haveinvented and produced a certain new and originalDesign for an Engine-Cylinder Head and Chest, of which the following is a specification, reference being had therein to the accompanying drawings, in Which Figure 1 is a perspective view, and Fig. 2 is a side elevation.

A is a substantially circular fiat head or disk. Bis a projection from this head, which is arranged on one side of the center thereof and which is of substantially rectangular form, the corners a and 6 being rounded. The opposite faces 0 and cl of this projection are substantially parallel, and from the lower face projects the rounded lugs O and D. Upon one edge of the head A is formed the oppositely-projecting cylindrical lug 6, while upon the opposite edge of said head is an ear or projectionf. Intermediate the members andj is formed, near the margin of the head, a projecting lug g.

The leading feature of the design is the substantially circular flat head having the lateral projection from the face thereon on one. side of the center, said lateral projection be ing of substantially rectangular form.

What I claim. as my invention is The design for engine-cylinder head and chest, substantially as herein shown and de= scribed.
