ATTEET I INVEN Li-1Y1] ETY y) UNITED STATES PATENT O FICE.
JOSEPH LEON GOBEILLE, OF CLEVELAND, OHIO, Assreu'oE TO THE ROSS- MORE COMPANY, OF NEW YORK, N. Y., A CORPORATION OF NEW YORK.
DESIGN FOR A STEAM OR WATER HEATER.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No; 35,431, dated December 10, 1901.
Application filed November 16, 1901. Serial No. 823600. Term of patent 7 years.
T0 at whom it may concern..-
Be it known that LJOsEPH LEON GOBEILLE, a citizen of the United States, residing at Cleveland, in the county of Cnyahoga and State of Ohio, have invented and produced a new andorigiual Design for a Combined Steam or Water Heater, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof.
In the said drawing I show a perspective elevation of the boiler complete and as it appears before any attachments are placed thereon; and the invention consists, essentially, in the Whole design as it thus presents itself to the eye rather than in any special or distinguishing feature less than the Whole design. However, when analyzed for features which enter into that which constitutes the Whole design and characterizes it we find sections A B C. These are shown as of circular outline of the same Width but of difi'erent depths top to bottom, and the middle portion of the design especially is conspicuous for its relief between the sections,so that light shows plainly through on both sides of it, except at the center. Then as a further feature the sections A and B are relieved over their exposed surfaces by a series of openings 2.
What I claim is The design for a combined steam or water heater, substantially as shown and described.
Witness my hand to the foregoing specification this 17th day of O ctober, 1901.
JOSEPH LEON GOBEILLE. Witnesses:
R. B. MOSER, H. E. MUDRA.
