Description

DESIGN.
Patented July 30, I90l.
H. B. KEIPER. GEAR TRAIN CASING FOR-ROTARY BLOWERS.
UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
HENRY B. KEIPER, OF LANCASTER, PENNSYLVANIA.
DESIGN FOR A GEAR-TRAIN CASING FOR ROTARY BLOWERS.
To all whom it may concern: I
Be it known that I, HENRY B. KEIPER, a citizen of the United States, residing at Lancaster, in the county of Lancaster and State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a new, useful, and original Design for a Gear- Train Casing for Rotary Blowers; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.
In the accompanying drawing, which forms apart of this specification, I have illustrated a perspective view of a gear-train casing for rotary blowers embodying my new design.
The leading or material features of my design reside in a'casing or housing for a train of gears having the general appearance of a substantially drum-like portion combined with a similar segmental portion mounted upon a tubular base portion for the fan-shaft extending at an angle to the transverse axis of said first-mentioned portions.
As shown in said drawing, the casing is constructed in separable sections a a, which together form a substantially drum-shaped main portion A and a similar segmental portion A, having apertures a therein and mounted upon a base portion 1), which is longitudinally bored or of tubular form to receive the fan or blower shaft and has a perforated plate I) at one end to receive fastening-bolts for securing it to the casing of a fan or rotary blower.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent of the United States, is
The design for a gear-train casing for rotary blowers substantially as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I affix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
HENRY B. KEIPER.
