DESIGN.

H. B. KEIPER. v GEAR TRAIN AND ROTARY BLOWER CASING.
(Application flied June 8, 1901.)
UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
HENRY B. KEIPER, OF LANCASTER, PENNSYLVANIA.
DESIGN FOR A GEAR-TRAIN AND ROTARY-BLOWER CASING.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, HENRY B. KEIPER, a citizen of the United States, residing at Lancaster, in the county of Lancaster and State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a certain new, useful, and original Design for Gear-Train and Rotary-Blower Casings; and
. I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention,
such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.
In the accompanying drawing, which forms a part of this specification, I have illustrated a perspective view of a combined gear-train I5 and rotaryblower casing embodying my new design.
As shown in said drawing, the said gearcasing consists of a main lower portion A, with an upper portion B resting thereon, givzo ing the appearance to said parts of being divided on a line extending from the rear of the casing to the front thereof, where the said parts are joined to the rear portion of a circular rotary-fan casing G, the latter having the appearance of being constructed in two dish-like parts 0 O, with the dished portions placed face to face, the marginal portions of said parts having coincident apertured ears for the fastening-bolts c. The lower portions of said dish-like parts are provided with substantially simicircular extensions 0 0, forming an outlet for attachment to a conduit. The said main portion is also shown as having a tubular portion D at its base, having a rib or protuberance d thereon and adapted to be grasped by a clamping device for securing the said casing upon a stand orsupport therefor.
As willbe seen, the leading or material features of my new design reside in a combined gear-train casing and rotary fan-blower casing arranged substantially at right angles to each other, said gear-casing extending out from the blower-casing and provided with a tubular base portion for a rotary-blower shaft 5 and with lateral tubular bosses or projections to hold the bearings for the shafts of a train of gears housed within the casing.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent of the United States, is
The design for a gear-train and rotaryblower casing, substantially as shown and described.
In testimony whereof I aflix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
. HENRY B. KEIPER.
